She started as a vision of Magdalene walking through her herbal garden at sunrise.
The ground was dewy,
the air was dense with mist as the golden light illuminates the garden.
Her hand trails over the verbena, rosemary, basil and lightly dances off the soft flurry leaves of scented geraniums,
the rich fragrant roses hang heavy with the night’s weight,
the air becomes richly scented with each stroke of the foliage.

I bought these luscious blooms 2 weeks ago and have loved every moment with them. They are now in a hand turned wooden bowl, resting as they age. I find them even more beautiful now than when they were fresh blooms.

Perhaps this is also about reflecting and appreciating myself as I age. We have entered Virgo season and I’ll be embracing 58 soon. I see more light and beauty in my healed self as I also recognise in all my women friends.
To love what I do and be happy in the stillness of being immersed in a world of scent gives me so much satisfaction, joy and peace.
I understand now that the greatest gift we can give ourselves is finding peace in our days.
