A year ago, I made the decision to stop working weekends (apart from the occasional client).
Financially, it’s not always the easiest choice. The cost of living is real, and there are definitely times when I feel the pressure. But because of the business I’ve spent the last three years building, I was able to make that decision.
As a single mum without family support, balance doesn’t come easy. Our weekdays are busy with work, school, and Tate’s sporting commitments, so our weekends have become our time. Time to slow down, make memories, and just be together.
Some days I think about opening my weekends back up to clients to take some of the financial pressure off. But then I think about what I’d be giving up.
The last year has reminded me that time is something I can’t get back. This business hasn’t just given me flexibility it has given me the chance to be there, to make memories with Tate, and to be present while he’s still little. 🩵
