What an incredible experience working with Powerhouse Collective, as I moved through the space capturing moments, I found myself inspired by the stories being shared. These weren’t just businesswomen—they were visionaries, creatives, and leaders, each with a journey uniquely their own. From overcoming obstacles to launching successful ventures, their stories were a powerful reminder of what’s possible when women support women.

Events like this remind me why I love what I do. Photography isn’t just about beautiful images—it’s about telling stories, freezing moments in time, and celebrating real people doing remarkable things. Dundee's Aquarium closing party!

From the moment I walked in, camera in hand, the vibe was electric. The venue was packed with longtime regulars, local creatives, staff old and new, and plenty of curious newcomers who’d heard about the party and didn’t want to miss a slice of history. There were hugs, cheers, and a whole lot of dancing.

I captured everything—from emotional toasts, to spontaneous dance-offs between tables. You could feel how much this place meant to people, including myself! what an amazing restaurant with the most incredible food!

Yesterday marked the end of an era in Cairns, as Dundee’s Aquarium Restaurant hosted its last day. Known for its unique setting beside the Cairns Aquarium and its fusion of reef-to-plate cuisine, Dundee’s wasn’t just a restaurant—it was an experience. I had the privilege of photographing their closing party, and what unfolded was a day of nostalgia, gratitude, and celebration.

A Perfect End
Photographing Dundee’s closing party wasn’t just a job—it was an honor. My images now serve as a visual tribute to a place that meant something to so many people in Cairns. While the restaurant may be gone, the memories—now immortalized in photographs—will linger.
