A groundbreaking study has revealed that women who wore rose essential oil on their clothing for just 30 days showed a significant increase in gray matter volume across the entire brain on MRI scans.
Gray matter is home to our neuronal cell bodies—the ""processing power"" of the brain. The constant, low-level stimulation of the olfactory system by the rose scent appeared to:
Trigger Neuroplasticity: Strengthening the pathways linked to memory and emotion.
Enhance Connectivity: Increasing the volume of areas responsible for sensory processing.
Support Longevity: More gray matter is often associated with better cognitive health as we age.
It turns out ""stopping to smell the roses"" isn't just a cliché—it’s a neurological upgrade.

The concentration of the fragrances also plays a major role in EEG activity, because a higher concentration provides a higher fragrance density. Hence, results may differ when using different concentrations of the fragrance."

A fragrance consists ...
