Pure Joy Naturopathy
I help women in midlife ease menopause symptoms and reconnect with their sense of self.
As a naturopath and Ikigai Healing Guide, I blend natural medicine, Japanese wisdom, and gentle mind–body practices to support health, confidence, and renewal. I’m a trained Naturopath passionate about guiding women through life’s natural transitions—especially perimenopause and menopause. My approach blends naturopathy, Eastern medicine, NLP, Reiki, and mindfulness. Inspired by my Japanese roots

Ikigai does not always arrive as a grand purpose.
Sometimes it is:
morning tea in silence,
birdsong through an open window,
laughter with a close friend,
a walk through nature,
or simply feeling fully present in your own life.
Those small moments matter too.

Many women notice changes in energy, mood, metabolism, and resilience during midlife.
Hormonal transitions can also influence thyroid health, stress responses, and immune function.
This is why midlife health deserves a whole-body approach.
Not just symptom management.

Ikigai is not something we achieve.
It is something we return to, again and again, as life changes.
Even in uncertainty, meaning can still be felt, quietly, steadily.
✨ What helps you feel connected to life right now?

My latest reflective essay, When the Old Self Softens: Ikigai in Midlife, is now featured in Connect Magazine North Queensland.
A deeply personal reflection on menopause, meaning, Dr Mieko Kamiya, and learning to soften into a new season of life.

One thing I continue learning as a practitioner is how connected the body truly is.
Stress, immune health, hormones, gut health, inflammation, and thyroid function all influence one another.
So often women are told to look at just one lab marker.
But the body rarely works in isolation.
The more I learn, the more I believe women deserve care that sees the bigger picture.

I’ve been reflecting deeply lately on Ikigai, menopause, and what happens when the old self begins to soften.
I’ll be sharing more through an upcoming podcast reflection series soon.

One thing I often remind women in midlife:
Your symptoms are not a personal failure.
Your body is communicating.
And when we listen carefully,
symptoms can become guidance rather than something to fight against.
This tone matches your current content beautifully.

Blood sugar imbalance can worsen menopause symptoms.
Especially:
*night waking
*fatigue
*cravings
*brain fog
*weight gain
*anxiety
Supporting menopause also means supporting metabolic health.

These three books came with me on our recent road trip.
They weren't chosen by chance.
Each one explores a different aspect of being human, yet together they remind me why I do the work I do.
As a naturopath, I'm often asked about hormones, nutrition and supplements.
Those things certainly matter.
But over the years, I've come to believe that healing also involves asking deeper questions.
Who am I becoming?
What truly gives my life meaning?
How can I continue to grow through each season of life?
As I journey through midlife myself, I find these questions becoming even more important.
Perhaps this is one of the hidden gifts of menopause.
Not only does our body change, but we are invited to reconnect with ourselves in a deeper and more meaningful way.
I'm looking forward to slowly studying these wonderful Japanese authors over the coming months and sharing some of the insights that resonate with me.
Have you ever read a book that quietly changed the way you see yourself?
I'd love to hear about it. 💛

Midlife often feels like an ending.
But what if it is also a beginning?
A beginning of listening differently.
Living differently.
Defining meaning differently.
