QLD Rain Forecast Totals Updated For Saturday to Wednesday.

Moderate to locally heavy rain with embedded storms are likely from Innisfail to Rockhampton inland to Emerald. Widespread totals of 100-200mm are forecast with some locally higher totals to 400mm along the coast. If a persistent rain train convergence develops over a particular area 500mm will be possible. Flash flooding is expected under heavy rain with some river and creek rises.
Patchy rain areas and some daily storms from Cairns to Mt Isa north.
Eventually rain and some storms also look like they could get inland as far as Longreach and Hughenden plus south down to Roma and the Sunshine Coast at this stage.
Remember yesterday I said about the importance of the lows position and the high uncertainty for rain in SEQLD? Well data has pulled the rain further back north with just some light showers now south from the about Sunshine Coast to Roma. It could change again yet but at best up to 50mm along the South East Coast.

CQLD is going to love this rain they have missed out badly so far this season!

Dawn Fraser today called out the PM and urged him to do the ‘right thing’ and call a Royal Commission.

She made some powerful statements including:

“If you don’t love this country, abide by our laws and you think it’s okay to insult our people and bring harm to this great country and its citizens then you should leave, because no one has the right to go into anyone’s home and bring hate,”

“In the 88 years of my life, living, loving, and representing this truly great country, I have never seen so much hate and division, and this breaks my heart.

We have always been a country of inclusion, diversity, and love, but unfortunately, that has disappeared.

I will stand with anyone that loves my country, that respects my country, that wants to see my country prosper.

I will also call out people that have done the wrong thing and who have not stood up for this great country.

And to you, Anthony Albanese, Tony Burke, Penny Wong, come down off your high horse and stop trying to run for cover. If the Jewish community is calling for a royal commission, then do the right thing by this community that has suffered enough.

This is not about the spineless and weak; it’s about doing the right thing.”
