Two weeks ago our Manager, Sarah had the opportunity to run a self-care workshop at a beautiful women’s church retreat.

We spent the morning chatting about simple ways to make time for ourselves, slowing down and remembering that self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. 🌿

And of course, we had a little fun too! Everyone got to make their own sugar scrub to take home with some of our Organicspa samples, and enjoy a little bit of pampering for themselves. 🧖‍♀️🤍

It was such a lovely morning and we’re so grateful to have been able to share a little piece of what we love with such a beautiful group of women.

From Tuesday 15 September, we’ll be introducing separate weekday and Saturday pricing at A Perfect Blend.

This is a change we’ve taken a lot of time to consider. It allows us to keep our weekday treatments as accessible as possible, while better reflecting the additional cost of providing appointments on Saturdays.

We also want to make this as simple and transparent as possible. Your treatment price will always be clearly displayed when booking through Fresha, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before confirming your appointment.

We know that changes to pricing can take a little getting used to, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

🔥 Hot Stone Massage: Myth vs Reality

Myth 1: The stones just sit in one spot.
Reality: The stones are continuously moved across the body during the massage. This allows you to experience the soothing warmth without the stones becoming uncomfortably hot in one area.

Myth 2: The stones are supposed to feel really hot.
Reality: They should feel deeply warm and comfortable (never burning). The temperature is carefully checked before and throughout the treatment.

Myth 3: The stones do all the massaging.
Reality: Your therapist still uses their hands and bodywork techniques. The warmth from the stones helps relax the muscles, allowing the therapist to work more effectively.

Myth 4: Hot stone massage is a firm/deep tissue massage because you're being massaged with stones.
Reality: The stones are used to warm and relax the muscles before hands-on massage. Because the muscles are already warmed, your therapist can focus on deeper relaxation sooner, rather than spending as much time using massage techniques to warm the area first.
