IRRADIANCE - HOW MUCH POWER IS BEING DELIVERED?
When comparing LED devices, one of the key specifications to look at is irradiance.
So, what does that actually mean?
Irradiance (mW/cm²) refers to the amount of light power being delivered to each square centimetre of the treatment area.
In simple terms - how much energy (power) is being delivered to the skin.

That means the maximum published irradiance of Dr D’Lyte is more than 4× higher than Omnilux Contour Face.
But there’s an important point:
More power doesn’t automatically mean better results.
Irradiance needs to be considered alongside wavelength, treatment time, dose (J/cm²), coverage and the distance between the LEDs and skin. Omnilux itself notes that treatment geometry and distance from the skin are important factors when considering light delivery. (Omnilux LED)
This is why we believe it’s important to look beyond the marketing and look at the actual technical specifications of an LED device.
