👻 Did you know Halloween began in Ireland over 2,000 years ago?
The Celts called it Samhain, the festival marking the end of harvest and the start of winter.

🔥 They believed the veil between worlds grew thin on this night, so bonfires were lit for protection, disguises were worn to confuse spirits, and food was left out to honour ancestors.

🎃 The first Jack‑o’‑lanterns weren’t pumpkins at all — they were carved from turnips. Irish immigrants later brought the tradition to America, where pumpkins became the glowing symbol of Halloween.

🌕 From Samhain’s sacred fires to today’s trick‑or‑treating, Halloween still carries the mystery and magic of its Celtic roots.
