A little family request in the Bubble Cottage soap kitchen today 🌿🫧

This batch was made especially at the request of a family member, featuring Tea Tree Essential Oil, Aloe Vera and Shea Butter — a fresh combination that I’m really looking forward to seeing in the finished bar.

But every new batch is a trial… and soap has a habit of doing its own thing! 😂

I added French Green Clay hoping for a beautiful natural green, but the colour in the mould definitely isn’t what I had pictured. Will it transform as it sets? Will it surprise me when I cut it? We’ll find out tomorrow!

Colour aside, I think this is going to be one lovely little bar. 🌿

That’s part of the fun of handmade cold process soap — testing, learning, tweaking and sometimes being completely surprised by what comes out of the mould.

Meet Ruby Sunset 🌅🍊

This cheerful little beauty is bursting with sunshine and sweet surprises! Bright notes of juicy mandarin and tangerine dance with tropical pineapple, zesty lemon, and a handful of ripe summer berries. A whisper of violet leaf adds a fresh, playful twist, while warm clove and cinnamon bring a cosy touch. It all melts into a dreamy finish of creamy caramel and vanilla—like the last golden glow of a perfect sunset. 🍍🍋🍓🍦

Handcrafted in small batches right here in Australia using the traditional cold process method, and I can't wait to see how this one looks once it's cut!
