If you’ve been into the clinic recently, you’ve likely already experienced the warmth, energy, and meticulous care of our beautiful Nurse Sophie. We realised it’s high time we officially introduced her to our Instagram family! 🤍
Sophie is an absolute pillar of the AWC team, and it’s easy to see why we feel like we’ve known her forever. Here is a little insight into why she is such a favourite around here:
🏥 The Surgical Foundation: Sophie began her RN career in 2021, in peri-operative (surgical) nursing. That background means she brings an exceptionally calm, precise, and safety-first approach to every single treatment.
🎓 The Aesthetics Expert: To pair her surgical foundations with her love for skin, she completed her Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables at the AACDS.
✨ The Vibe: While she is all about clinical precision, her bubbly personality and genuine warmth are infectious. She has this incredible gift for making even the most nervous first-timer feel completely at ease and genuinely excited about their skin journey.
🏔️ Off-Duty Sophie: Originally a farm girl from the Snowy Mountains, Sophie is a country girl at heart. When she’s not making skin magic happen in the clinic, you’ll find her skiing, hiking, or out exploring with her gorgeous Border Collie, Darcy. 🐾

If you’ve noticed your appointments at Aesthetics Wellness are a little longer lately, there’s a very deliberate reason for it.
Gone are the days of the "10-minute frown line fix." The industry is evolving, and so are we. We’ve officially extended our treatment times because we’ve moved away from transactional injecting and toward true holistic care. Why the extra space in the diary?

Our client’s IPL results for the face, neck and décolletage.
For this treatment, we focused on reducing pigmentation and redness while stimulating collagen and elastin for overall skin rejuvenation.
Winter is the ideal time for IPL, as reduced UV exposure allows us to safely target and lighten pigmentation that has developed over the summer months.
