The perfect example of what is NOT achievable in one session 🙅🏼♀️👇🏼👏🏼
Although this was virgin hair, my beautiful client has SO much hair that this simply could not have been done in one session. ✨
This transformation was achieved in THREE appointments 🙌🏼
5 reasons why you might not get as blonde has you’d hope in one session:
1. Hair thickness
If your hair is thickkk, there is no safe or efficient way of lightening all of your hair in one session. Unless your hairdresser has the capacity to book out an entire day for you! (This would be extremely 💸💸💸)
2. Health of your hair
Previously lightened hair, home haircare products used, chemically straightened or treated hair makes a huge impact on what can be achieved at your colour appointments. Be transparent with your hairdresser so that they can decide what they’re comfortable doing with your hair. Strand tests may be advised.
3. Hair history
Your colour history is SO important when beginning a process like this. Honesty with your hairdresser is paramount! If you’ve been blonde in the past and then coloured it darker you NEED to tell your hairdresser. Hair that has been previously lightened needs to be treated as blonde hair, no matter what colour it is on the outside.
4. Time allowance
I spend on average 4-5.5 hours EACH appointment on transformations like this. So if you’re time poor - blonde light not be the colour for you. If you want a hairdresser that does it faster than this - I’m simply not the hairdresser for you. I don’t work with time limits. I spend as much time as YOUR hair needs. ⏱️
5. Time between appointments
The time between appointments is CRUCIAL in how light you can get per appointment. The hair closest to your scalp will always process quicker and cleaner due to the heat radiating off your scalp (body warmth). Even if your mid lengths and ends aren’t ready to be rinsed, your roots will be! Which means it needs to be rinsed. The closer together your appointments are, the cleaner your hair will lift. ✨
My recommendation: 7-12 weeks 📅

Hair goals are when your appointments are 12 weeks apart, your hair feels like silk, and you get asked if you’ve had your hair done recently the week before your appointment 🫶🏼💥
The before shot is actually Amy’s first appointment with me 12 months ago. I can’t believe it’s possible to love a colour more every time you do it 🤍
