Dreadlocks are not a hairstyle,
they are a Lifestyle. To have and maintain great dreads, you need to respect your scalp and your hair. Dreads take anywhere from 4 to 12 months* to fully mature. When dreads are babies, the more care you put in, the more benefit you get out. Here at Live Lokked Dreadlocks we want nothing but the best for your Dread journey.

Love a good Reconstruction! Carefully finding each individual dreadlock carefully separating.back into their own.
Did you know, when dreadlocks start to marry together they can twist around one another. More so when there are more than two marrying in one section. This is why you should never just cut straight up. Not only does this weaken the hair by cutting it weakens the overall dreadlock structure. Feel, separate and Reconstruct is the strongest method.

Second set for this amazing Lady, after removing her last ones she realised she can't live without.
Her hair had grown in uneven parts with some quite short, to help with the scalp sensitivity, her sections were held by plastic micro hairbands. We dont often hold bases this way, however with such short hair, its sometimes needed to lessen pulling sensations from holding the hair to tight.
