~ U P D A T E ~

It’s really difficult to put this in to words, rewriting it over and over, but I need to share a little update with you.

Thank you to the thoughtful people who have messaged me over the last few months, checking in to see how my recovery is going. ✨

I sincerely apologise for not replying to some of them. Please understand I’ve been really overwhelmed and haven’t wanted to talk or think about it too much. ♥️

It’s been 6 months since my world took a completely unexpected turn.

So far I’ve had 2 operations on my left
Tibia and Fibula, I had an infection and DVT in my leg.

After complaining of some serious pain and discomfort, to multiple doctors at the JHH, only to be turned away every time.
I found out I had a severely fractured
Talus ( ankle ) and surrounding bones that had gone undiagnosed for 4 months!

As a result, it has dragged out my recovery even longer.

I’ve recently undergone ankle reconstruction to hopefully regain some functionality and movement.

I’m waiting for confirmation as to when my 4th and hopefully LAST operation on my leg will be.

It’s been very mentally challenging aswell.
I’ve had to acknowledge and learn to sit with my anxiety / depression.
To not judge myself.
To not ignore or avoid the emotionally uncomfortable situation and accept that it’s OKAY to feel these emotions some days.

As for ONYX Hair studio, I had to let her go. 💔
I do not know when I will be able to return to work.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with not only your hair, but sharing each other’s magical life journeys over the years.

I promise to keep everyone updated with my recovery and when I do return to salon life.

~ B E B A C K S O O N ~

For a few days now, I have been battling with myself, to find the words, to write this as the reality sets in.

It is with the heaviest heart I tell everyone,
I have to take a break from the salon and look after myself both physically and mentally.

On Friday 16th April, I was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident.

Thankfully, the only injuries I suffered were compound fractures to my left leg.
I was operated on immediately and spent the next 5 days at John Hunter Hospital...

I came home, surrounded the most caring,
kind and selfless souls, helping me through every day life. ✨

I am grateful for my family and new beginnings.

I would be lost with out everyone’s love and support.

Then last Friday I found myself back at John Hunter Hospital, another surgery later...
One step closer to being at home with Ruby and Poppy.🐶♥️

Thank you for all the friendships we have
made over the years.
There has been good times and bad times. There has been tears, laughs and a whole lot of love. ♥️

If you can please give me time to respond to all text messages and phone calls. 📱

I will keep you updated with my recovery and when I return to the salon.
