I recently answered a question on the wonderfully informative beauty podcast

So I thought I would take this time to flash back on the years of dedication I have given to preserve my skin.

Having worked in the beauty industry for over 25 years I have seen lots of skin. To me what I found the most beautiful were the clients walking in with clear skin head to toe. it definitely was a more Korean culture I was attracted too going back working at Bobbi Brown cosmetics at the time 2013 approximately. The clientele just gave me the clear difference between two cultures and what was known to be attractive in their culture. Clear skin and fair or tanned and tan lines? I am Naturally olive and can tan very easily. You will see in one of the images the hypopigmentation I documented on my very last time in the sun on my honeymoon in Thailand in 2016.

I came home and sore a dermatologist as I wanted to know what those whites dots were? I was told it was hypopigmentation as a result of sun damage from my younger years. It was then I made the final decision I’m done with sun.

I went on my journey but I’ve dedicated. Covered up all day during peak sunny seasons and then able to strip down as the sun sets. It’s hard work but I do find being more light and bright I look much younger than tanned. Do I fake tan? No! I hate it, I Ike my skin clean and un marked . I do glycolic washes for gods sake haha

This is my journey and yes I take a vitamin d supplement and my levels are also good I’m on top of that. I love a tan on all my friends and clients just not on me and I’ll take the you don’t look 47 comments quite happily ☺️💃🏽

I’m not the best at getting content especially of myself, I feel rather awkward 😬, I get overwhelmed when I try and post and film and honestly want to throw the phone down and say it’s all too hard 🤯 but I feel also sometimes it’s nice to see your artist at work and in different environments, here’s a tiny imperfect carousel of me at work just doing what I love 🥰
