Body sugaring is a method of hair removal that originated in ancient Egypt.

The women of the time were inspired by Alexander the Great, who would charge into battle hairless and clean shaven. The hairless body became a standard of beauty for the women of Alexandria.

They began using a form of sugaring similar to what we use today. An antibacterial paste made out of a honey mixture known as 'moum'.

It is rumoured that Cleopatra herself used sugaring as her preferred method of hair removal.
