I’ve always been very patient when it comes to cancellations and no-shows, and up until now I’ve never charged any fees. However, last-minute changes really impact my small business.

To put it into perspective: it’s like going to your office job and not being paid for the two hours the system is down, or there’s a software issue. When an appointment is missed, that time can’t be filled, and it’s a direct loss of income.

For this reason, I’ll now be enforcing a $50 fee for no-shows or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice for colour appointments.
