Feeling rage for no reason all of a sudden.
Let's talk about it...
Your body has been absorbing everything you didn't have space to feel, and it's running out of room.
That snapping.
That short fuse.
That rage that comes out of nowhere over something small.
That's not you being difficult.
That's a nervous system that hit its limit a while ago and is finally saying something about it.
This is some of what we work with in the Homecoming Ritual nervous system facial at Blue Moon Wellness Spa, in Cobbitty.
Not a correction.
A return.
What is your anger trying to tell you...

For some of us, silence isn’t calm. It’s the loudest room in the house.
If you grew up needing to hear what was coming, quiet doesn’t feel like safety. It feels
like waiting.
You know it if you need a podcast just to fall asleep. A quiet car feels worse than a loud one..
An empty room makes you find something to tidy..
A silent phone feels like a held breath..
None of that is a preference.
It’s a nervous system that learned silence used to come right before something, and it never quite stopped listening for it.
Safety doesn’t always sound like nothing.
Sometimes it needs to sound like something steady first.
It’s part of why the Homecoming Ritual nervous system facial at Blue Moon Wellness Spa in Cobbitty opens with sound, not silence, serving Camden and the wider Macarthur region.
Some rooms have to earn your quiet first.

You know the shoulder that won't sit back down. The one that creeps toward your ear the second you stop paying attention to it.
That's not in your head. Trauma doesn't only live in memory. It lives in tissue.
You wake with your jaw already clenched some mornings, before you've even opened your eyes properly. Your stomach won't fully unclench, even on what you'd call a good day. None of that is a habit. It's old protection your body picked up once and never got told it could put down.
You did what kept you safe. Your nervous system just never got the memo that it's allowed to stop.
That's what a nervous system facial actually works with. Not just your skin. What's underneath it, learning slowly that it's safe to stand down. That's the work in the Homecoming Ritual at Blue Moon Wellness Spa in Cobbitty, serving Camden and the wider Macarthur region.
Some of what you're carrying, you'll notice leaves in one session. Some of it takes longer to put down.
Save this for the day your shoulders won't sit back down on their own.

A few honest reasons to come into Blue Moon Wellness Spa. None of them have to be big.
You don't need a story ready when you get here. Some women arrive already apologising for taking time out of their day. Here, you don't have to explain yourself at the door.
Only one person is ever in the treatment room at a time. The door closes. The street outside carries on without you. Nobody watches you arrive. Nobody watches you leave.
Nothing in here is asking you to fix anything about yourself.
Most sessions, I feel it in the first two minutes. A shoulder under my hands, still deciding if it's allowed to drop. Then, usually, it does.
If cost has been the reason you keep putting it off, it doesn't have to be the reason you stay away. Afterpay and Zip are both available. So is the Open Door, pay what you can, alongside the full Homecoming Ritual nervous system facial.
The room is here in Cobbitty, serving Camden and the wider Macarthur area. The door is open, whenever you're ready.
If you know someone who keeps meaning to book something like this for herself, send her this one.

Last week, a woman came in to Blue Moon for a free treatment. Not a promotion, an actual free treatment. Another salon had taken her money weeks earlier and then gone quiet. No treatment, no refund, no reply.
Today it happened again in a different way. A new client came in last minute for a facial. She'd been having one of those weeks that breaks you open a little, so I gave her that facial for free too.
Not every hard week looks like that, though. Some are just quieter. Flatter. Nothing dramatic happening, just less in the tank than usual, and that counts too.
I don't usually talk about this side of the business. Saying it out loud can turn a kind thing into something that feels like it's owed credit, and that was never the point.
But it feels like a strange time to stay quiet about it, so here's what I keep coming back to instead.
Shakespeare wrote that a good deed shines even in a naughty world, and that line hasn't left me since I read it.
If you needed reminding today that kindness for its own sake still exists, let this be it,
Share this with someone else who might need reminding too.
You don’t know how to rest without doing something else at the same time, do you ?
Sitting still with empty hands still feels wrong somehow, like you’re getting away with something.
So you fold the washing while the telly is on and call that resting. It isn’t. Not really. It’s just moving the busyness somewhere quieter.
There’s a difference between resting and simply slowing down the doing. Learning it takes time.
Some night’s you’ll get closer than others. That still counts.
Find sometime to rest, the door is open.

Nobody warned you about the rage.
Not sadness. Not overwhelm, though those show up too.
Rage. Out of nowhere, over something that wouldn’t have registered six months ago.
Your hormones are shifting and your whole nervous system is riding along, whether you agreed to it or not. Nobody handed you the manual for perimenopause.
It’s not you losing your grip. It’s your body renegotiating everything at once, and doing it loudly because quietly hasn’t worked for years.
You’re not broken. You’re not “too much” either, regardless of what anyone’s said. You’re just mid change, with no map, figuring it out one hard morning at a time.
If this you too, I’m here to listen. Tell me your story.

Do you feel like sh*t yet?
Because I'm starting to think that's the point.
Do you only visit a salon when your skin is acting up. Do you leave feeling lighter, or just more aware of what needs fixing next. An industry that fixed you would go out of business, and I think most of us have felt that in our bones without ever saying it out loud.
That's not me.
This is me. I'm here. And I won't make you feel like s**t.
Not about your skin. Not about your makeup. Not about whether you've done enough to earn an hour lying down in a quiet room.
Everyone else tells you to come fix your acne. Or get confident enough to finally leave the house without makeup. Same trick, a nicer outfit. Either way, you're still being sold a finish line.
Why can't we just be in love with us. Right now. Not after.
A woman messaged me this week to say she'd been looking for somewhere like this for ages. Not somewhere that would fix her. Somewhere that would just let her be here.
I don't ever want you to feel like you need perfect skin, to be seen or validated by the world.
I want you to know that every part of you is enough. Just as you are.
In this moment. Right now!
Save this for the day you need reminding you were never the problem.
