#2020

Did you know.... that the Victorian Government has made changes to its OHS act requiring EMPLOYERS to REPORT cases of Covid-19 direct to WORKSAFE.

What does this mean for you??? From Tuesday 28/7/20 you are required to notify worksafe within 48 hours of
- an employee has tested positive to Covid-19 and attended work in the past 14 days (infectious period)
- A contractor or an employee of the contractor that has been working on your site has tested positive to Covid-19 and attended work in the past 14 days (infectious period)
- You become aware that an employee or contractor is working within 14 days after a positive diagnosis of Covid-19

If this happens to in your workplace you need to go to worksafe & select “report a confirmed Covid-19 diagnosis” and complete the form.

If you FAIL to make this declaration then you could be fined up to $39,652 for an individual or $198,264 for a company.

Please share this far & wide as it’s really important for small & medium businesses to be aware of this!!!

Stay safe everyone
