“Brow tattoo looks fake”

Not mine.

Yes it looks dark and bold when first done but you’ve got to remember the ink is sitting above the skin. As your skin heals and the pigment settles, that’s when those soft, natural looking brows start taking shape.

The goal isn’t to ‘wake up with makeup’.

The goal is to give you a brow that looks like it belongs to you. A brow that doesn’t look out of place when you’re barefaced.

I say this with love, but those thin, patchy, hook shaped brows are aging you 🫢

Like how is it even legal to love your job this much?!

I sometimes wish I had found my calling earlier in life but I also trust in the divine timing of it all.

I’m a little older, a little wiser and able to empathise and relate to my clients so much more than I would have been able to if I was 10 years younger.

It all happened exactly when it had to happen and I’m so grateful for all the lovely clients I’ve met on my cosmetic tattoo artist journey thus far 😘

It’s not always about tattooing brows where there are none.

Sometimes it’s just about finding a brow shape you love and making brow maintenance easier.

Sometimes it’s about giving your existing brows more definition.

Thinking of getting microblading? I’d think twice ⚠️

Firstly, let’s clear something up.

Microblading is a TYPE of cosmetic tattoo manually performed with tiny blades that create cuts in the skin before pigment is implanted 🔪

Micro-cutting or micro-slicing would be a more accurate name 🫢

So why don’t I offer microblading?

1. It’s more traumatic on the skin -
Microblading creates tiny cuts, whereas powder brows use a fine needle to gently implant pigment in soft pixels. In my experience, powder brows are kinder to the skin and generally heal far more predictably over time.

2. It’s not my first choice for mature skin -
As skin becomes thinner and less elastic, crisp hair strokes become harder to achieve and maintain. Powder brows typically heal softer and more evenly, creating a beautifully flattering result.

3. It isn’t suitable for every skin type - 
Oily, combination and heavily sun-damaged skin often struggle to retain crisp hair strokes. Powder brows are far more versatile and can be customised for nearly every skin type.

4. It doesn’t always age well - 
Because microblading relies on manually creating fine cuts at a consistent depth, healed strokes can soften and blur over time. These hairstrokes can also turn grey, blue or ashy depending on the original pigment and the skin condition.

5. It won’t create the same fullness as powder brows - 
If your goal is fuller, more defined brows, powder brows achieve that more effectively. Hair strokes are designed to mimic individual hairs, whereas powder brows create soft density and shape that lasts.

The bottom line?
For the vast majority of women I see, powder brows are the more versatile, skin-friendly option achieving soft, beautiful believable results.

This is why I choose to specialise in powder brows using a tattoo machine specifically designed to tattoo delicate facial skin.
