💈IMPORTANT UPDATE💈

To my amazing clients,

I have made the difficult decision to wind things up here in Colac, and my last day of trading at the shop will be Friday, July 25th.

As many of you already know, not long after opening last year, life threw a couple of major curveballs my way that meant I had to relocate my little family to Geelong. Since then, I’ve spent the last 12 months trialling different things to keep everything running smoothly.

But the time has come to acknowledge that I just cannot do this successfully in a way that honours BOTH my family’s needs, and my personal ethics as a barber. I am just not happy continuing if it means negatively impacting my family, or impacting the quality of service I am able to provide to my clients. Those are two things I’m simply not willing to compromise on, and I know most of you wouldn’t want me to either.

From now until closing day, I’ll still be trading as usual - and as a small thank you, I’m offering a FREE product with every service (one per client, while stock lasts).

This is not a goodbye to barbering altogether for me. If you’d like to stay in the loop, feel free to follow my personal barbering page - Barber Amber - where I’ll be sharing updates on where and when you can find me next.

…And for the fellas who’ve been eyeing off my workbenches — yes, they’ll be up for sale after the 25th! Shoot me a message if you’re interested! I’m willing to do a good price to whoever will take the whole lot off my hands!

Lastly, but MOST importantly! I want to give a huge thank you to every single person who supported this little venture of mine. If certain things hadn’t happened, I’d have loved to stick around - but unfortunately, life had other ideas. This community showed up for me in a big way, and I genuinely couldn’t have gotten this off the ground without you. Your support has meant the world to me - and always will! I mean that sincerely from the bottom of my heart.

Hopefully I’ll see you in the chair one more time before the 25th!

This Christmas season, I’m feeling extra grateful for each and every one of you who has supported my barbershop over the past year. It’s not just the holiday spirit, but it’s also 1 year since I began operating in the Colac & Otway Shire. It’s been an incredible journey, and as I celebrate one year in business, I want to give back in a way that truly matters!

With the current cost of living crisis, I’ve been working really hard behind the scenes to shuffle a few things around. Hi everyone, as we’re coming into the festive season, I’d like to let you know about some changes to the schedule for the upcoming holidays!

If the date isn’t mentioned below, it’s just business as usual!

- Dec. 24th (Christmas Eve)

As you can imagine with all of the end of year events happening, my books are filling up very quickly! Don’t leave it until Mary’s water breaks to book your spot or you may miss out!

Firstly and foremost - Thank you for your patience and support! I cannot stress enough how amazing you all have been! I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for your patience and understanding as we’ve navigated these fresh new circumstances together. Your support means the world to me as I’ve been figuring out the best way forward that suits both myself, the new family arrangements and, of course, all of you, my wonderful clients!

As promised, I’m excited to bring back an additional day! While weekends are still unfortunately a no-go, I’m happy to announce that starting next week, I’ll be opening my books on Tuesdays.

So, as of the next week, the new store hours will be:
Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Friday: 10am - 4pm

Please note that walk-in appointments are becoming harder and harder to accommodate as my books are beginning to fill up quickly each week. To avoid missing out, I highly recommend booking ahead.
