Lomani Day Spa

This is something I never thought I’d have to say as a business owner.
As a woman, I’m simply trying to build my little business, create a beautiful space for people to feel safe, cared for and looked after — and sometimes the messages I receive are genuinely degrading.

The message in this screenshot is one example.

I’ve always welcomed male clients at Lomani. I genuinely believe everyone deserves to experience beautiful, professional spa treatments, regardless of gender.

And until recently, I’ve been lucky enough to have some wonderful, respectful male clients who understand exactly what Lomani is about.

But unfortunately, a few recent interactions have crossed a line.

There is a HUGE difference between booking a professional massage and approaching a female therapist with requests that are sexual, inappropriate or designed to make her uncomfortable.

My business is not a place for that. I am not available for that. And I will not entertain it.

It’s incredibly disheartening when you’re putting your heart, money, time and energy into building something you’re proud of, only to receive messages that make you feel objectified in your own business.

So moving forward, I’ll only be accepting new male clients who are referred by my existing female clients or by male clients who have already visited Lomani.

This isn't because I don't value male clients.

It's because I value my safety, my comfort and the environment I’m creating at Lomani.

To the men who have supported my business, respected my boundaries and treated me exactly as the professional I am — thank you. You are absolutely welcome here. 🤍
