Last week Jess and I attended the derma.aesthetics_ ✨Beyond the Barrier✨ conference, and it was such a fantastic day 🤍

A day spent surrounded by over 160 passionate skin professionals, learning, sharing and connecting.

The education was next level, diving deep into skin barrier science, corneotherapy, the future of skincare, business, goals and mindset. Special mention to the education team Lisa Paone | Head of Education Kai Atkinson Sandra Trostel you always blow my mind.

I also felt incredibly honoured to be invited onto the dermaviduals Australasia Brand Ambassador panel to share my own experiences as a therapist and salon owner.

Days like this really reinforce how amazing this industry is. Even though I’ve been doing this for 20+ years, I feel like I’m just getting started.

I’m so passionate about what I do, and I just feel so grateful to be in this industry, surrounded by such amazing humans 🥰

Oh hey 👋🏼 So this happened on Sunday.

The Best in Skin Awards rolled around really quickly this year. With 174 entries from some of the most talented skin professionals across Australia and New Zealand, being named a finalist in the Calm & Revive categories was an accomplishment on its own, BUT I was also lucky enough to come 2nd in Revive 🥈. Being recognised amongst this level of work is something I’m really proud of.

Getting to catch up with some of my absolute favourites in the industry, and the people who have shaped the therapist I am today and continue to help me grow into, was my highlight.

There’s something really special about being in a room full of people who inspire you to want to be better at what you do. I learnt, laughed, celebrated, connected, and I can’t wait to do it all again next year 🫶🏼
