Beautique Love

Hello…It’s been a while between posts!! Just a quick update to let all the future Beautique Love brides out there know that my bookings will remain closed until 1st October 2023. I’m busy living life in the toddler groove and spending our time between home in Margaret River and on the road travelling Australia. Having the freedom to live a life slowly and spontaneously with no commitments has been a real breathe of fresh air so I’m a little resistant to opening my books up any sooner. I miss my brides and being creative so and I’ll definitely be back taking limited weddings for the 2023/2024 season.

Working alongside my insanely talented friend is always a joy, and we had a particularly wonderful morning making over Tess and her beautiful bridesmaids. Outside on the deck, overlooking the bush, good chats and lots of laughs!!

Time for some updates...It's been a while!

At the end of 2019 we welcomed our baby boy Hugh into the world. My initial plan was, have a few months off then slowly return to the beauty studio. Well that was the plan anyway...

Then 2020 happened - Covid, motherhood and a change of career for my husband Brodie saw our lives completely change to what they were in 2019, but in some of the best possible ways. Being Mum to Hugh is an absolute delight and Brodie now working for himself as a full time finance broker is a dream come true.

We've all had to adapt and 2020 brought some great reflection on what we want from the future for our little family. We decided upon adventure! With 4 years before Hugh has to start school and Brodie now having the ability to work from anywhere there is an internet signal we have decided to spend the next few years travelling Australia in our camper trailer. This means the Beautique Love beauty studio will remain closed indefinitely. We will return for a few months here and there and to have baby number two at some point but we are so excited to see what our travels will unfold.

I have still been doing bridal makeup all through 2020 and all future makeup bookings will still remain. I am still open for makeup bookings in November/December 2021 and March 2022. It is just the beauty studio that will remain closed and I will formally move onto being a sole Freelance Makeup Artist.

Some of you may have sensed this was coming and I sincerely apologies for any disappointment I have caused. I am so grateful to have clients who I can call friends and I wish to thank you all for the support you have given me over the past years. I have loved running my own business and look forward to business adventures again in the future.

Who knows what Covid will bring in 2021 and the years following, but for now we cannot wait to explore Australia and come May 2021 we will be off!

Hello! It's been a while...
And much has changed since we last spoke! Firstly, I want to send a big virtual hug to you all. I hope you are happy, well and have navigated the first half of 2020 with kindness and care for yourself, your family, friends and the world.

Our life changed dramatically in December 2019 but in the very best way. We welcomed our baby boy Hugh into the world. What a delight he is and I can't quite believe he is already 6 months. He is such a happy boy who absolutely loves people and faces. He will study your face with such intensity and give the biggest beaming smile to anyone who smiles at him.

When I finished work in the beauty studio at the end of October I had mixed feelings and wasn't sure what the future of the business looked like. Would I want to be back at work again straight away? Would I never want to go back? Long story short it has taken me 6 months to finally figure it out...

The beauty studio will stay closed for the remainder of 2020. The past 6 months have flown by so quickly and while I miss all my clients greatly, and feel guilty for not opening back up to you all post Covid, the truth is I am not ready to give up my Hugh filled days. Slowing down, embracing our baby boy and our new family dynamic is exactly what this new Mumma needs to thrive.

I am still taking on wedding makeup bookings however the beauty studio will remain closed for the rest of this year. Thank you for your loving support. I treasure you all so much and I am so sorry if I have disappointed you with this announcement. I have loved bumping into everyone at the shops, post office, walking the dogs etc and genuinely miss our beauty appointment chats!

11 days new... We welcomed Hugh into our lives on 10th December and have been smitten ever since. The best Christmas present ever! Thank you for all your patience with email replies and bridal enquires. My days have been spent soaking up every inch of our perfect little man. Hugh and I would like to wish all our clients and brides, past, present and future a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Be safe, enjoy family time and days in the sun.

Dogs and weddings...two of my favourite things. Made even better when combined!

I hope you all had an amazing long weekend soaking up the spring sunshine and feel refreshed for the week ahead. With 8ish weeks until this bubba arrives we are taking every opportunity to “do all the things” ...all day gardening, dinner with friends and beach/cafe adventures with the puppies. 🌻
