Holistic Counselling 💫

Holistic Counselling is a heart-centred approach that guides you toward self-awareness, personal growth, and emotional well-being.

Rooted in Humanistic Psychology, this therapy is designed to empower you - helping you break free from limiting beliefs, past patterns, cycles and emotional blockages, so you can make conscious, present, confident choices about your life.

Unlike traditional counselling, Holistic Counselling does not dwell on the past - it focuses more on who you are today, and who you truly are without your limitations and constraints. It is like life coaching, but with deeper emphasis on mind-body connection, emotional healing and personal empowerment.

As a Holistic Therapist, I believe what's in the mind is in the body and what's in the body is in the mind. I often work with a blend of body work, breath work, meditation and intuition during a session.

If you're ready to develop new skills, strengthen your mindset, find your inner peace, and embrace your true self and potential, I would love to support you.

Have You heard of the Fawn Response?

In psychology fawning is identified alongside fight, flight and freeze as a core stress/trauma response.

Fawning is a people-pleasing response to stress or conflict. It can look like constantly saying yes to everything, avoiding disagreement or rejection, apologising too much, or putting others' needs before your own to feel safe, in control, valued or to keep the peace.

Have you ever said yes to someone or something and straight away felt the tension in your body?

Your response is please and appease (fawning) - and your body says NO!
You can feel the reaction - tension, restriction and tightness in your body.

Simply, fawning is a survival strategy, especially when the other 3 responses may not be available. It can also be a learnt behaviour that we've copied or inherited and it's become a pattern.

Fawning can keep the nervous system in a chronic state of threat and hypervigilance - constantly scanning other people's moods, reactions and needs to prevent conflict, threat, confrontation or rejection.

Over time, this can leave you feeling tense, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, resentful, exhausted, unsafe and constantly on alert.

Learning to say no, set healthy boundaries and let others experience disappointment can feel uncomfortable at first.

You don't have to abandon your own needs to keep others comfortable.
Your body deserves to feel safe too.
Your job is to love and care for yourself first.

If this feels like you and you want to release the tension, reconnect to yourself, understand your nervous system, change old patterns and discover new ways, I'd love to support you.

The Impact of Stress.

Sometimes the body doesn't fully reveal the impact of stress while you're in survival mode.

When we're just getting through the day, keeping everything together, working, caring for others, and simply doing what we need to do ... the body focuses and prioritises survival - getting you through.

Every experience has an impact and leaves an imprint in our body, our mind and our energy.

Sometimes life can serve us waves of huge challenges. We push through, feeling like we're in autonomic pilot, struggling, our head feels just above the water until life finally settles again.

I have experienced this.

Then, you may notice things you didn't feel before.

Tension. Fatigue. Digestive changes. Headaches. Restlessness. Trouble sleeping. A sense of being wired but tired. Bouts of crying. Anger. Irritability. Or simply feeling "off" in the body.

This doesn't mean your body is failing you.
It's showing you how it kept you alive.

Sometimes, it's only when there is finally enough safety and space that the body can begin to show you what it's been carrying.

I have experienced this.

As a holistic therapist, I believe these signs are significant and worth listening to - not ignoring or fighting against.

Your body is communicating.
And sometimes it's asking you to take notice. It's asking you to recover, and give yourself the time, love and care you need.
It's wanting to reset.

If this feels like you, I would love to support you back to yourself and a state of wellbeing.

I work with a blend of remedial massage, breathwork, guided meditation, gentle energy work, and mindful intuition.
The treatment is exclusively designed for your individual needs to promote healing, connection, clarity and balance.

Autonomic Flexibilty: Finding Your Way Back to Balance.

Our nervous system is designed to respond when we need to activate, settle when the demand or threat has passed - and move between these states without becoming stuck.

Sometimes, through ongoing stress, overwhelm, trauma, illness or simply prolonged periods of being "on" with no rest time, the body can lose its ability to shift gears, regulate and return to presence.

The goal isn't to remain parasympathetic or calm all the time.

Regulation is not one nervous system state.
The goal is to develop the ability, and have the capacity to move with what life asks of us. To mobilize when action is needed, settle when rest is possible, and return to a sense of safety, presence and balance when the demand, challenge or threat has passed.

As a holistic therapist I can support you in reconnecting with your body, recognising your nervous systems's signals and gently creating more capacity for regulation, flexibility and the ability to reset without becoming stuck.

Your body knows how to find balance - sometimes it just needs to feel safe and supported, remembering how.

If you feel ready to explore what your body and nervous system might need, I warmly invite you to book an appointment or message me.

Soften, reset and reconnect with balance.

Your Body Knows More Than You Think.

Your body holds an incredible innate wisdom and intelligence. Every day, it works to maintain balance, adapt to change, support healing and keep you alive through the intricate connection between your body's systems, mind, energy and spirit.

Sometimes life's stresses, emotions, difficulties and experiences can keep us in the stress response and a state off tension, protection and survival.
We can't protect and perform at the same time. Prolonged protection effects how we think, act and experience life.
The body keeps the score and sometimes doesn't know that the game is over.

Research continues to show that when your body feels safe and supported, the nervous system is better able to shift from a state of protection and overwhelm into one of rest, repair and restoration.

What the body often craves is simply rest, stillness, and a safe, supportive space where it can soften, relax, reset and recalibrate. Creating the right conditions and treatment can help the body access it's natural capacity to recover and regulate.

If you're craving deep restoration and ready to reconnect with your body's intuition, wisdom, and wellbeing, I would love to support you.

Winter is an Invitation to Return to Yourself.

As nature slows, we're reminded that we're not meant to keep forcing and pushing forward. We're not meant to keep holding and bracing. This season asks us to rest, to soften, and to restore from the inside out.

The colder months can leave the body bracing itself more tightly, holding tension more deeply, with tighter muscles, aching joints and a nervous system that has been carrying way more than it needs to. It's also a time when our emotional and energetic bodies ask for more reflection and self love.

As a metaphysical massage therapist my treatments are created to support the whole You. Mind, body and soul. I work with the intelligence and wisdom of the body's systems.

Through therapeutic touch, supportive voice, guided intuition, and gentle breathwork, you'll be held in a space where you can restore harmony on every level.
Your body can release tension, your mind can quieten, your nervous system can reset clearing stagnant energy, and in the inner calm you can experience deep restoration.

Winter is a time for nurture and nourishment, a season to slow down, to go inward, and to receive.

If you're feeling the intention of this restorative season, I'd love to support you.
I invite you to make a booking through my website.

Discover the Healing Power of Metaphysical Massage Therapy.

Metaphysical Massage Therapy is a profound holistic approach to healing. The focus is on the interconnectedness of the mind, body, energy and spirit to promote physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual wellbeing.

As a holistic therapist, my sessions don't follow a fixed formality. Some sessions might focus on the body while others might talk through your story, with the two interconnecting and reconnecting as the session unfolds.
Sometimes conversation leads and flows. Sometimes there are no words, with guided touch and softness, the body tells the story.

If this resonates with you, I would love to meet you where you're at and support your wellbeing.

Winter is an Invitation to Soften.

Nature isn't rushing and neither are we meant to. There is wisdom in the pause.
When we stop rushing, we create space to heal, rest, recover and receive.

Winter is a season to honour your energy rather than constantly be doing.
Every season has it's purpose, and winter's gift is the opportunity to rest, reset, and reconnect with yourself.

Perhaps your greatest act of self-care is allowing yourself to pause without guilt, rest without apology and restore with intention.
Your mind and body needs it. It's essential.

Winter reminds us that rest is essential.
Every moment you spend nurturing yourself is laying the foundation for renewed healing, vitality and growth.

Are you ready for calm restoration?

Your Body Feels Every Season of Change.

Transformation rarely feels graceful when you're in it. Change can feel uncertain, uncomfortable and even overwhelming.
As you step into something new, your body often responds before your mind has fully caught up.

It can show up as ...
Tension in the neck and shoulders. Tightness in the jaw.
Irritable bowel.
Shallow breathing.
Headaches.
These sensations are often the body's natural response to uncertainty and the unfamiliar. Your nervous system is wired to seek safety, and depending on your mindset even positive change can be interpreted as a potential threat.

Instead of resisting these sensations, notice them with compassion ...
Stop repeating the same patterns.
Slow down.
Breathe.
Create space.
Be kind to yourself.
Gently support your nervous system as you move forward.

Transformation isn't just a mental or emotional process - it's a physical one too.
The more you reconnect to yourself and learn to work with your body instead of against it, the more grounded and sustainable growth becomes.

As a holistic therapist, I work with the interconnectedness of your mind, body, energy and spirit. There is a lighter, yet deeper way to experience life.

Give your body the support it needs.

If you're feeling stuck, heavy, or uncertain and ready to reconnect to yourself make an enquiry or an appointment through my website.
