So I'm in new Zealand for my autistic sons 16th bday. What an absolute pleasure it has been to get this boy out of the house and out and about. Super proud of him for wearing trackies and shoes.
Ardihan has come such a long way and I am so proud when I look at him at how well he can adjust to life and his surroundings and adapt so quickly but also stayed camouflaged like a chameleon.

It's been such a beautiful time stepping out of the salon to spoil this child for his special bday. Watching him and his sister spend valuable time together has been amazing.

Much more fun to come for bday day! 11th June, snow and super jet boat down the river!

My first trip ever by myself. I wrangled waking myself up, getting my own food, doing my own washing, and entertainment for the clients as always.

This trip was different. I left home so unsettled with pain and hurt. It hasn't gone but I nurtured every emotion how it should be.

I cried I laughed I farted I just went with whatever the days and nights threw at me.

I'm so proud of getting myself in ubers to go to the shops, uber to the markets by myself.

I did so many things that usually caused me severe anxiety.

I was responsible didn't even drink during the week and came home last night to pack up today and get to shops for a last minute laksa before I say goodbye again to a place I hold very dear to my heart.

Thankyou Darwin clients, you hugged me, some watched me vulnerable and cry while I did your hair but most of all you straightened my crown!

Love, love you all.

Sam wanted something slightly different than just the usual full head of foils.

This photo did no justice.

So we blended a root melt into the blonde which we cleaned up.

A nice trim and blowdry and bam!!!

Damn she wanted to blend the greys so we did.

A contrast of really light vs a dark foil back to back with a steel toner!

This was such a clever result almost looking like we foiled it when it was dried.
