We are pleased to announce the inaugural members of the New Colombo Plan Alumni Consultative Group (NCP ACG).

Selected through a rigorous process, the 15 members reflect both Australia's diversity and the myriad of experiences offered through the NCP. Together they will play an important role in supporting the NCP as it continues to empower Australians to connect with the Indo-Pacific. 🌏

Working with the NCP Secretariat, the NCP ACG will:

- Share valuable insights and feedback on the program
- Enhance alumni engagement
- Foster connections within the NCP community and with broader stakeholders

A big congratulations to our newly appointed members! We look forward to their contributions over the next 12 months. 🇦🇺

Join us for an information session about the INPEX Australia Foundation's Scholarship program at Charles Darwin University.

The INPEX Foundation Scholarship provides opportunities for Australian students to study a postgraduate university course in Japan. Representatives from INPEX will be present to discuss the scholarship's benefits, eligibility, and application process.

This scholarship is open to Australian nationals under 30 with an undergraduate degree. It covers school expenses, a monthly living allowance, and a return air ticket to Tokyo, Japan.

Darwin local and Charles Darwin University (CDU) student Neve McDermott has been awarded a prestigious New Columbo Plan scholarship that will see her study social work in Nepal.

The New Colombo Plan (NCP) is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region.

Ms McDermott, a Bachelor of Social Work student, will travel to Nepal in 2022 for six months where she will gather an understanding of the country’s main social causes and systems.
