YOUR SKIN TALKS…but are you listening👂

Redness, breakouts, plaques and flares are signals that something underneath needs attention. 🔥

Creams and medications can bring real relief, and sometimes they’re exactly what’s needed. But if we only quiet the symptom, we miss the chance to ask why it showed up in the first place.

Whether it’s Acne, Rosacea, Psoriasis or another inflammatory condition, my approach is to look deeper:

🌿 Gut health and digestion
🌿 Stress and sleep
🌿 Diet and possible triggers
🌿 Hormones
🌿 Your skin barrier and the products touching it.

Healing skin starts with listening to it. 🤍

I’ve been called many things…but these are my faves 👌

You’ve spent 30 years taking care of everyone else.

This one’s for you..

Skincare doesn’t start with a 10-step routine. It starts here 👇

Your skin doesn’t care how many steps are in your routine, it cares whether you’re sleeping, eating well, drinking water, and not marinating in stress 24/7.

Stop ‘parking’ yourself to please other people…this includes family 🙏 That stress sticks like s**t to a blanket.

Formulation over a trending ingredient - a hill I will die on!!

Consistency over hype. A skin expert who understands and actually looks at your skin.

Oh, and if you’re over 50 and still not using a retinoid yet - CRACK ON!!
I have 4 different strengths, so we can find the right one for YOUR skin. No guesswork, no “hope this works.”

A little roundup 🤍

Your Skin Microbiome🦠

Your skin isn’t meant to be sterile. It’s meant to be balanced.
For years, acne has been treated like something to kill. Kill the bacteria.
Strip the skin. Repeat. And yet so many people find their skin clears briefly - then comes straight back.
That’s not a coincidence.
Acne-prone skin is often a sign that the skin’s microbial ecosystem has shifted out of balance ~ not that it needs a more aggressive attack.
Swipe through to understand what’s really going on with your skin microbiome, what dysbiosis actually means, and why a barrier-first, microbiome-aware approach often gets results when nothing else has.

SPF isn’t just for beach days or “good skin” clients.

If you have acne, eczema, or rosacea - you need it more than most.

Here’s why..

Acne-prone skin is often already inflamed. UV exposure triggers more inflammation, worsens post-inflammatory pigmentation, and if you’re on Vitamin A or acids? Your skin is even more vulnerable to UV damage.

Eczema skin has a compromised barrier. UV stress makes that worse. Mineral SPF - zinc oxide specifically - is one of the least reactive options and supports barrier function rather than disrupting it.

Rosacea is triggered by heat and UV. Every unprotected minute outside is adding fuel to the fire. A lightweight mineral SPF is one of the most effective things you can do daily to keep flares calmer.

And for anyone noticing their skin ageing faster than expected ~ UV is the most significant accelerant. It breaks down collagen, degrades your barrier, and undoes everything your routine is working to do. It’s not about vanity. It’s about protecting what your skin is working hard to maintain.

Quick tip from me ~ early morning sunlight is actually beneficial. It helps regulate hormones and set your circadian rhythm. I’m not here to tell you to hide from the sun. But between 11am and 3pm when the UV index peaks? That’s when your skin needs protecting 🧴

And if you really want to level up ~ look for an SPF that contains resveratrol 🍇👌 It’s a powerful antioxidant that works particularly well for inflammatory skin conditions, helping to calm while it protects. Not all SPFs are created equal. That one ingredient is worth looking for on the label.

One step. Every morning. That’s it.

✨Here are the ways to work with us ✨

We’re two separate clinics ~ one shared philosophy. Between us, we cover your skin from every angle. Outside in. Inside out. And everything in between.

Because guessing your skin issues? That’s not a strategy. That’s a skincare roulette 🎰 ~ and your face deserves better.

1. Work with Sally - in clinic Dayboro📍🌿
Sally is a Corneotherapist and Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist based in Dayboro, QLD. Sally sees clients in person only…because she needs to see AND feel your skin. (Your skin can’t lie to her hands, just saying 🤗)

She works with your skin, your lymphatics and your nervous system together, and creates professional O’Cosmedics skin prescriptions so you’re not just winging it at home.

Acne ~ congestion ~ barrier repair ~ pigmentation ~ sensitised skin ~ lymphatic drainage ~ nervous system support ~ O’Cosmedics prescriptions

2. Work with Emma - Clinical Naturopath 🌱
Emma gets to the root cause of what’s going on inside ~ because your skin is often just the messenger. Hormones, gut health, histamine, stress… it all shows up on your face eventually.

Not sure if she’s the right fit? She offers a free 15 min discovery call. No commitment, no guessing, just answers.

Virtual consultations available.
Hormones ~ perimenopause ~ gut health ~ histamine ~ stress & burnout ~ HTMA testing ~ acne ~ eczema ~ rosacea

When your skin needs it - we collaborate. Two clinical minds 🧠🌿, two areas of expertise, one plan. Because sometimes the answer lives in both places at once - and guessing which one isn’t the vibe.

👇 Drop a question below or DM us to find out where to start - your skin will thank you 🙏

Sugar = Glycation

Your skincare routine can’t outrun your blood sugar.
Glycation is the process happening beneath the surface ~ quietly breaking down collagen, stiffening tissue, and aging your face from the inside out.

No serum reaches that deep.

The real anti-aging protocol starts with what you eat, how you move, and how well you sleep.
Swipe to understand what’s actually happening ~ and what to do about it.

Hallelujah ~ let’s celebrate healthier skin.

Menopause can weaken your skin barrier, but gentle daily care rebuilds it..

Here’s a simple, gentle plan to help repair and support your skin barrier..

1- Be kind with your cleanser: use a gentle, skin supportive cleanser. Creams or oil/balms are 👌- ditch the micellar water, wipes and foaming agents ❌

2- No harsh scrubs!!

3- Lukewarm water only: hot water strips the skin’s natural oils.

4- Moisturise twice a day: look for a cream with ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids ~ they rebuild the barrier.

5- Add hydration boosters: a bit of hyaluronic acid / glycerin will help draw moisture into the top layers of your skin.

6- Wear sunscreen every day: broad‑spectrum SPF 30 /50 + protects the healing barrier.

7- Avoid exfoliation: at most once every 2–3 weeks with a mild chemical exfoliant.

8- Support from inside: stay hydrated, eat omega‑3 rich foods (like fish or flax), and consider probiotics.

9- Patch test and ask for help: try new products on a small spot first, and see a qualified skin expert if irritation won’t settle💁🏻‍♀️

👍 Start with just a gentle cleanser and a ceramide moisturizer ~ small, steady changes make a huge difference.
