Brushing your hair might seem simple, but the way you brush can actually make a big difference to your overall hair health.

Brushing too roughly or using the wrong technique can lead to breakage, frizz, split ends and unnecessary stress on the hair. Done properly though, brushing helps distribute your natural oils from the scalp through the lengths of your hair, helping keep it smoother, healthier and more moisturised.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is starting from the roots and pulling straight through knots. Instead, it’s much gentler to start brushing from the ends and slowly work your way upward in sections. This helps prevent snapping and pulling, especially if your hair is fine, curly or already damaged.

Using the right brush matters too.

Starting with previous blonde halo foils and copper tones through the rest of the hair, the goal was to soften the contrast and create a more even, natural-looking result that blended beautifully together.

Bella used a 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻-𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 to break up the harsh contrast, remove uneven warmth, and bring the hair back towards a softer, more seamless blend.

Colour corrections like this can be one of the more challenging services in the salon, because every section of the hair can process differently depending on previous colour history. Bella took the time to carefully work through each stage to keep the result balanced, blended and healthy-looking throughout.
