Getting to do colour corrections like this reminds me why I love being a hairdresser so much.

First hair makeover for this gorgeous gal and I am frothing over this colour 😍

Honestly this gal 🥵

Now you probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you that this gorgeous colour was created by a highlift but it most definitely was.

No a highlift is NOT going to work for everyone as there are many factors that went into this to make this colour work for my client.
1. She had previous highlights in her hair so I knew that those would lift really bright and draw the attention away from the warmth.
2. My client didn’t want to be platinum blonde or an ash blonde, she was happy to work with the warmth that would come through.
3. I did tone her hair after the process to deepen her roots slightly and even the all over colour.
5. Whilst it doesn’t look it in the before I knew her natural would lift enough with the highlift to achieve what we wanted.
And the most important one of all
6. My client trusted my vision and where I believed I could get her hair (which is not wanting her dark natural in it at all but without bleaching it). She trusted that I would take care of her hair and not do something that would ruin her hair.

Trust between my client and myself is the most important part of the whole session, without it I may as well not have them sitting in my chair.

No not everyone’s hair will achieve this with this sort of process, so it’s not something I would ever offer to all my clients. But I know her hair well enough to know that it would work out the way we wanted it too.
And damn does she slay 🤏🏻
