I have some exciting news for my makeup lovers!

I’m thinking about offering a small, intimate makeup class for 4–5 girls in my studio. This will be a hands-on session where I’ll teach you my techniques, tips, and skills to help you feel confident doing your own makeup.

Each person will also receive a complete brush set to take home ✨

Price: $300 per person
Ages: 16+

I want to keep these classes small so I can really focus on each of you and give you the best experience possible.

What a showstopper of a woman 💄

I get asked this question so often… “When did you start doing makeup?” or “What made you want to get into it?” and I always give a short answer, but the real story is actually a long one. So I thought I’d finally sit down and tell you properly 🤍

I started doing my makeup when I was 11 years old. I used to watch my older sister get ready and I just wanted to be involved. She was much older than me, but I didn’t care. I’d go off to primary school in Grade 5 and 6 with the most orange, flaky, dry makeup you’ve ever seen. No moisturiser. No blending down my neck. No idea what I was doing.

And I absolutely loved it.

I didn’t care what it looked like. I just loved the feeling of having it on. I played with eyeshadow, lipstick, eyeliner, lashes, anything I could get my hands on.

Then high school came along and makeup became a daily ritual. I would wake up an hour earlier every single morning just to do a full face for school. (My nan can tell you all about that 😆) Every day. It got to a point where I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the house without it. Looking back now, I can see it had become a bit of armour for me.

But in Grade 10, something changed.

I had struggled for years with really painful acne and skin issues, and with my Leavers Dinner coming up, I decided to stop wearing makeup for an entire year. I wanted my skin to have a chance to breathe, and I wanted that night to feel special, I wanted my princess moment. I’ve always said a girl has 2 days in her life, her wedding and her leavers. And I was damn well making the most of mine 😆

It was honestly really scary at first. People were shocked. I felt exposed. But I did it anyway. And I’m still so proud of teenage me for having the guts to do that. It was one of the most terrifying & freeing things I’ve ever done for myself. I’ll never forget the look on my nans face when she took me to school that morning. I was just as shocked as her, honestly. If I could walk into school bare faced at 16 and survive that, I knew I could handle a lot in my life. Being a teenager is scary, I don’t care what anyone says.

I had my makeup done by someone else for my Leavers Dinner, which I actually regret now, and one day I’ll recreate that look with the same dress and do it the way I wish I had back then.

After high school, college became my time to really experiment. Not just with makeup, but with clothes too. I loved putting together outfits that were a bit different and quirky, and naturally my make up followed. I started playing with colour, textures, rhinestones, and actually investing in good products instead of grabbing whatever I could from Kmart or the chemist.

Around the age of 20, I started posting my looks online. Slowly, people started noticing. Then people started asking me to do their makeup. I remember being genuinely shocked that someone would pay me to do something I loved so much.

The more I played, the more I learned. The more I learned, the more invested I became.

And that’s when Breakfast at Trinady’s was born.

Friends and family became clients. Clients became supporters. Supporters became a community.

Now, six years later, I look back at the little 11 year old with the orange foundation and realise she was just a kid who really loved makeup… and somehow, she never stopped. So to wrap all of this up, it’s a long one, I know, I wanted to share on this page the very first makeup I ever posted. Not just to show you where I started… but to remind myself too 🕳️🐇
