Sweeney's Barber

Hello all,

It has been a while since my last post and most of you may have heard that my twin sister sadly passed away a month ago.
It has been a roller coaster of emotions leading up to her departure and one I am still profoundly grieving.

Her illness had required me to be away from my business for extended periods and will continue for me moving forward.

So, after some very hard and painful long months leading up to now, I have decided to retire from my lengthy barbering career and will be closing Sweeney’s Barber moving forward.

I have dedicated many years to this industry and I am ready to take a long break away from being very busy to doing nothing.

I believe I will continue some work in some capacity down the road, however I am looking forward to a change and one that doesn’t involve picking up scissors and a comb.

I want to thank you all for your support over the years and I hope you find a good fit with another barber to meet your hair needs.
There are so many young professionals out there now opening up, maybe charging a bit more, but haircuts are always needed and this is a solid profession that will never go away.

Hi all,

Just a quick reminder that I will be closed as of 1pm tomorrow Thursday 19th June and will return to the studio on Tuesday 1st July instead of Wednesday the 2nd, due to my week off.

There will be further closures during the winter months for me and as the cold weather slows the haircut visits.
Sorry for any inconvenience and I’ll see you on my return.

Happy Friday all,

Quick reminder that it is Sweeney’s alternative Saturday to open tomorrow the 14th June from 10am to 1pm.

Also as a one off on my new winter schedule and due to my early closure at 1pm on Thursday the 19th, I will open this Tuesday the 17th from 10am to 4pm.

As posted previously, Sweeney’s will be closed from 1pm on Thursday 19th June and will return on Wednesday the 2nd July.

With all the rain last night and today, I hope everyone is staying dry and no issues of flooding.

Tomorrow, Saturday the 31st May is Sweeney’s alternative Saturday to OPEN. 10am to 1pm.

As we enter the winter months and the hair stays a little longer and beanies/caps are permanently on, Sweeney’s will be winding back a little and taking another day to attend to my personal needs and will close on TUESDAYS.
Therefore my winter 🥶 opening hours will be:

WEDNESDAY to FRIDAY 10 am to 4pm.
And Alternative SATURDAY
10am to 1pm.

Senior discounts will only apply on Wednesdays.

I will also be taking a little break at the end of June. Closure will be from 1pm on Thursday 19th June to Tuesday 1st July. Returning Wednesday 2nd July at 10am.
