Living Well Devonport
We believe that when individuals are healthy and connected, they can create a positive and prosperous Devonport for everyone.
Living Well Devonport delivers community programs and supports local clubs with a strong focus on health, wellbeing, mental health, connection, belonging, movement, and healthy eating across the Devonport community. ‘Living Well Devonport’ is an innovative and holistic Health and Wellbeing program designed to empower individuals and the entire community to Live Well and Thrive Together. What we eat, how we move, our access to learning, education and training, livelihood, housing, transport, and a sense of belonging all influence our health and well-being. Therefore, ‘Living Well in Devonport’ aims to improve the overall quality of life for Devonport residents by providing resources, support and opportunities that contribute to personal wellness and community well-being. Our mission
“To enhance the lives of Devonport residents by promoting and encouraging physical, mental and emotional health while building a thriving community where individuals and the collective flourish together.”
Our Plan
Living Well in Devonport plans to become a sustainable, annual program featuring three new calendars of activities each year. A range of comprehensive health and wellbeing initiatives tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of Devonport’s residents will form each calendar, supporting Devonport's Living Well 2023-2033 Strategy's six focus areas:
Eating Well
Moving Well
Being Well
Learning Well
Connecting well
Belonging
Our Aims
Each program will foster connections and encourage active participation through the delivery of activities, sessions, workshops, guidance, and resources. As a result, participants will experience better physical, mental, and emotional health. Over time, our collective efforts and interventions can lead to the changes we want to see across Devonport: a more connected and supportive community, one where we live well and thrive together.
