Deep pigment in a darker skin type takes time and patience to treat and reduce. A q switch laser targets pigment and shatters it so the tiny particles can be removed from the skin via the lymph system.

My 71 years young client came to me a month before her daughters wedding. We decided to target the pigment in particular, that way her makeup would not have to be too heavy on the day to cover it up. I used my IPL machine, but with 2 seperate settings on different parts of her face. Pigment setting on the sides and rejuvenation on the forehead and middle face. But this is a result I had to share! Superficial pigment from the summer sun is pretty hard to avoid, but can make your skin look more harsh and aged then you might like.

4 months post a laser genesis treatment.
Laser genesis is a very relaxing treatment that heats up the lower layer of the skin to stimulate a more productive collagen formation. It does take a little while to see the results, and the amount of time changes depending on the age of your skin also. I get a laser gen every 3 months, twice a year I swap it out a needling sessions and I do LED’s each week, and a surface only peel (mostly an AHA) every 4/6 weeks. This along with my skincare, my skin is in such great condition

There are so many machines available within the skin industry. Here are 3 I have invested in. On the left is an RF needling machine, centre is my very favourite LED, and on the right is the very versatile q-switch laser machine.
Their jobs vary, but mostly they they focus on creating thick, less lined, less red, even toned skin. Leaving your skin feeling healthy.
I have chosen to focus on the results achievable with these machines, and if I can’t help you with the results you are aiming for, I will steer you in the correct direction to the find the device that will.

Today has been such a gorgeous taste of the warmer weather that is ahead. If you feel like your skin needs a pick-me-up…this grapefruit mask combined with a hydration infusion facial may be what you need. Grapefruit contains an anti-oxidant Beta Carotene, it transforms dull, dehydrated complexions and leaves your skin beautifully radiant. Grapefruit also contains Lycopene which is known to reduce redness and inflammation of the skin, helping to even out skin tone for a smooth complexion.

Just one laser session, 5 weeks in between treatments, and the result is super visible. I love treating men, I can’t wait to see more improvements after a few more sessions and it’s great that men are appreciating taking care of their skin
