A little personal update from me 🤍

This isn’t a post I ever imagined I would be writing, but today I received the news that I have breast cancer.

After finding a lump and what has felt like a whirlwind of appointments, scans and a biopsy, we now know that the tumour is malignant. At this stage, I’ve been told we have caught it very early, which is something I’m holding onto very tightly.

There are still some pieces of the puzzle we’re waiting on. I’m having further scans and testing, and once those results are back, my doctors will be able to map out exactly what treatment looks like for me.

I wanted to share this myself because Skin Etc has been such a huge part of my life for so many years. So many of you aren’t just clients anymore — you’ve watched me build this business, build my team, navigate the highs and lows, and you’ve shared so much of your own lives with me while sitting in my chair.

I also know that if I suddenly disappear for appointments or need to step back here and there, people will wonder where I am.

For now, I’m still working. I’m still laughing. I’m still annoying my staff, in fact, I brusied the s**t of Hanna soon after I received the news because I couldn’t stand looking at her wrinkles for much longer (see pic😂) and I fully intend on being around Skin Etc as much as I possibly can throughout whatever comes next.

I have an incredible medical team around me, an amazing family and support network, and the most beautiful Skin Etc team who I know will keep everything running when I need them to, just like they already do every single day.

I’m not sharing this because I want anyone to feel sorry for me. I’m sharing it because this community has always been about real women and real life — and unfortunately, this is part of mine now too.

There may be days ahead when I’m quieter than usual, appointments need to move, or you see a little less of me. Thank you in advance for understanding and for supporting my beautiful team through it.
