My Colour and Style
Tired of staring at your wardrobe wondering what on earth to wear? You’re in the right place.
From discovering your perfect colours to styling outfits that make you feel like a million bucks, cut the chaos & boosting your confidence.
Jo and I share the same palette: warm and light.
Same colours. Very different shoes.
Jo reached for a delicate, feminine ballet flat. I went straight for the chunky loafer.
That's where personality comes in.
Your palette tells you which shades bring you to life. It doesn't tell you how to dress. Two women can wear the exact same colours and look completely different, and both look exactly like themselves.
So if you've ever worried that knowing your colours means ending up in a uniform, it won't. Your colours are the foundation. Your personality is what you build on top.
Ballet flat or chunky loafer: which one feels more like you? 👇
Plain tees are the backbone of every wardrobe, but let’s be honest, on their own they can be a bit... beige. 😴
The problem is that “safe” pieces feel easy, but they don’t say anything about you. Your style should do some of the talking before you’ve even opened your mouth.
The fix is simple: take the plain piece and give it a personality. I went full childhood nostalgia with a Fraggle Rock iron-on (Dance your cares away, anyone? 🎶) and suddenly my boring tee has a story.
So I want to know, if you could add personality to a plain tee, what would you choose?
💎 Jewels or diamantés

✨ Sequins
📌 A statement brooch
🧵 Hand embroidery (a tiny flower, initials or a cheeky word)
🎨 Fabric paint in your best colours
🎀 Ribbon or lace trim on the sleeves

Here’s the problem: most of us are still dressing for a version of ourselves that’s already moved on. Pre-kids. Pre-promotion. Pre-menopause. Pre-“who even am I now?” The wardrobe stayed put while life kept going.
So what? You look in the mirror and feel invisible, even in clothes you used to love.
The fix isn’t a whole new you. It’s getting to know the woman you’re becoming, and wearing the colours that let her lead. 💛

Black shoes are supposed to be the safe choice. They go with everything… right?
Here's what I've noticed after draping over 2,000 women: black isn't neutral for everyone. It's the darkest, heaviest colour there is. If your natural colouring is softer or lighter, black shoes become the strongest thing in your whole outfit, and the eye goes straight there. Down to your feet, instead of up to your face.
That doesn't mean you have to throw them out. Any colour is allowed. But "safe" and "best for you" aren't always the same thing.
So tell me honestly, are black shoes your go-to? Agree or disagree? 👇

ONE YEAR of wearing your right colours could change your everyday life. But here’s what you need to hear. 🎨
You don’t need a whole new wardrobe. You need to know your colours.
Every year you spend money on clothes that never leave the hanger, and every morning you stand in front of a full wardrobe feeling flat and tired, with “nothing to wear.”
You’re shopping without a plan. Buying what’s on sale, what’s on trend, what looked great on someone else. So nothing goes together, half of it washes you out, and your wardrobe never adds up to actual outfits.
Know your colours. Clear out what’s been washing you out and leave behind what wasn’t working, to make room for what does.
In a year, you’ll look back and see the change. You’re not who you used to be. You’re now the woman who shops with intent, buys what suits her, and has a wardrobe that all goes together.
Your wardrobe becomes a real-life swatch, fanned out on the rail.
Save this and check back in a year, or comment “YEAR” and I’ll help you start. 👇
Do I use AI to do Colour Analysis?
NO NO NO!
I will keep asking for photos of your face and looking and analysing with my eyes 👀

Read that again. 👆
So many women tell me they don’t recognise themselves anymore. New stage of life, new body, new chapter, and somehow the wardrobe didn’t get the memo.
Here’s the thing: you’re still in there. You’ve just been dressing in colours that dim your light instead of turning it up. 💡
The right colours don’t change who you are. They bring her back to the front.

Part 3 is the one that surprises people most: intensity.
Intensity is how bright or soft your natural colouring is. Some women can carry a really vivid colour and it just makes them glow. Others wear the same colour and it arrives in the room before they do.
That’s what happened when I tried the bright drapes. You notice the colour first, and I’d rather you noticed me. My colouring is soft, so muted shades bring the focus back to my face.
Put all three together and you’ve got your colour story. For me that’s warm, light and soft, and every outfit I put together starts from there.
Bright or soft, which one do you think you are? Tell me below 👇
Your latest denim finds in Dotti and Big W.
Did you know that, as a general rule in colour analysis, the lightness or darkness of your denim should match the value of your hair? 👖✨
Really light hair? A light wash will suit your overall value best. Somewhere in the middle? Go for a mid-range denim. Deep, dark hair? Dark denim is your match.
Want to play outside the rules? Go for your life! Colour analysis is a guide, not a rule book you have to stick to.
At Dotti 🛍️
These gorgeous little denim dresses have a wrap belt that creates a lovely waistline and a structured collar. It’s an elevated take on denim.
At Big W 🛒
A little shacket in both light and mid-range denim, plus the cutest dress. If a cinched-in A-line dress works for you, this one’s for you.
My all-time favourite ❤️
A little skirt in mid-range and black denim. Enough said.

Real beats perfect. My messy camera roll photos do better than anything I’ve over-edited.
Specific beats general. “Skinny jeans made me look like a gridiron player” gets more love than “I didn’t know my style.”
