Our bodies are constantly rebuilding, it requires load to assist in this process

Posture doesn't have to be worried about, your next posture is your best posture, keep moving, your body adapts.

Winter has given us colder nights and warmer days than we have experienced for a while, how are you coping?

It's not too late to change
Thank you Dr. Howard Luks

The body adapts to what we ask of it at 30, at 60, at 80. If we ask less, it gives less. But when we reintroduce the right signals gentle strength work, balance practice, walking, loading done safely and progressively the body responds.

Yes, progress may be slower now.
Yes, recovery may take more care.
But improvement is still possible.

Strength can return.
Balance can improve.
Confidence can be rebuilt.

Fragility is not who you are.
It’s a state and states can change.

You are not too old to move.
You are not too late to get stronger.
Your body is still listening

Good morning,

It's been two weeks since I headed off to a conference in beautiful Geelong.

Stayed in the heart of the city at the Holiday inn, nice hotel great service.

The conference was everything and more, our association is making a shift to follow best practice evidence based theory and practical hands-on techniques.

Thought I would share what occurred at the Gala dinner, lots of dancing, everyone having a great time, as a therapist we work in a world where we are looking after people in pain and assisting them with knowledge and skills to help them find a way back.
This can be extremely lonely as we work as soul traders.

So any excuse to let our hair down, it's been a few years since I have danced so much, I must admit that the following morning my knees were not happy, over the days post stupid amount of dancing they have continued to be grumpy.

As I am well aware I haven't injured my knees I have gone beyond their capacity, asked more of what they are able to do without going into overuse.

With a small amount of pain relief and the knowledge that I will slowly improve with management and continued strength exercises all will be fine.

The lesson is to keep up with the strength and conditioning exercise so that a crazy amount of dancing won't have the same results.
Stay strong
