This sounds appropriate cause it’s my girls wedding hair. 👰‍♀️ 🖤 🌈 Love you always Jodie, one of the most beautiful people & greatest barbers known to Darwin. She is the only person I let cut my man’s hair. 👏🏻

The first electronic hot rollers were invented in 1930 & perfected in 1953 by the 1960s & 1980s they were a staple, saving women from sleeping in overnight rollers which would wet set the hair. 🖤🤌🏻⚡️

I get why permanent gets used for lowlights but it won’t make them last longer. All it really does is leave a warm stain behind as it fades.

Same with breaking the base when toning. It works for some, but it’s something I’m really mindful of here in Darwin cause of our water & UV index. If you break the natural base on anyone darker than a level 8, you’re exposing the underlying warmth and as it fades out that warmth is going to show.

For me, keeping the natural base intact and using no-base-break toners and lowlights gives the cleanest, softest grow-out every time.

Just sharing what’s worked really well for me over the years. We all do things differently, but understanding the why behind the chemistry made a huge difference for me. 🤍

🖤 If it doesn’t have a temperature control option. Don’t buy it.
🖤 If it’s old & crusty, throw it out & replace it.
