This week definitely hasn’t been my best or most consistent as I decided to move house in a short timeframe.
Food has been a bit everywhere but managed to get all 5 sessions in plus a pilates session.
Keen to create more consistency and push a little harder next week.

🎀 me: it builds character
also me after starting a small apartment fire: okay but at what cost
I’ve recently stopped chasing numbers in the gym… and it feels completely wrong.
For years, progress meant more weight on the bar, heavier sets, pushing limits every session.
So slowing things down and stepping away from that mindset feels uncomfortable.
This week has been about:
- Less ego
- More control
- More intention behind every set
And honestly, it’s harder mentally than I expected.
Because when you take away the numbers, you start questioning everything you’re doing… even when you know it’s still work.
I’m not here to say one way is better than the other - just documenting the shift.
Let’s see where this goes next week.
