Hydrated, healthy-looking lips, without a needle in sight.

I get asked about this area constantly: Is there something for lips that isn't filler? Mesoskinline is one option we talk through. It's about supporting hydration and skin quality in the area, providing a healthier, fuller appearance, which, for a lot of people, is genuinely what they're after.

If you're looking for lips that look healthier and more hydrated, this is worth a conversation.

I've performed thousands of HIFU treatments. Here's something you probably don't expect me to say: HIFU is not for everybody.

One of the biggest mistakes I see in this industry is HIFU being recommended simply because someone has ageing or loose skin, like it's a default fix for anyone who walks in the door. It's not, and I think you deserve to know that and that you deserve the best treatment for your skin.

If someone has extremely sun-damaged skin, significant volume loss, or has lost a lot of their underlying collagen structure, traditional lifting HIFU often isn't where I'd start. Why? Because HIFU isn't magic. It needs something there to work with. In those cases, my priority is usually skin quality first: rebuilding and rejuvenating the skin rather than simply trying to lift it. Depending on what I see in consultation, that might mean skin needling, Mesoskinline, or Exo Cell Volume. For someone wanting minimal downtime, our HIFU Glow protocols can also be appropriate, and sometimes we combine a few approaches, depending on the skin in front of me.

After years of doing this, here's the biggest thing I've learned: you choose the treatment for the skin. A good HIFU practitioner should also know when NOT to do HIFU.

If you're wondering what's actually right for your skin, that's exactly what a consultation is for, not a guess based on what treatment happens to be trending.

Supporting your hair growth cycle, naturally.

A question I get asked more often than you'd think, from men and women: can anything actually help with thinning hair or a sluggish growth cycle? The honest answer is "sometimes, and it depends," which is exactly why I want to explain how this actually works rather than just tell you it does.

Mesoskinline is applied to the scalp using fine needling with a specially developed plastic head, which creates micro-channels that let the active ingredients reach deeper into the skin than a topical product alone ever could. The formula is designed to support the scalp environment your hair follicles sit in; circulation, nourishment, the conditions a healthy growth cycle actually needs. This applies the same way regardless of gender, scalp health is scalp health.

It's not a fix for every type of hair loss. Genetic or hormonal thinning, for example, often needs a different conversation entirely, and I'd never promise you a specific result from a treatment like this. What I can say is that for the right candidate, supporting scalp health is a genuinely useful piece of the puzzle, and results build gradually over a course of treatments rather than overnight.

If thinning or scalp health has been on your mind, whoever you are, come have a proper conversation with us about what's actually going on and whether this is a sensible option for you.

Not everything worth doing looks dramatic on camera.

This is what a HIFU treatment actually looks like at Hush. There's no drama, no big reveal, just ultrasound energy supporting your skin's own collagen as we go. It's not an overnight change, and I'm going to be upfront about that.

What it can offer is steady, cumulative support for your skin over a course of treatments. The kind of thing that builds quietly rather than all at once.

If you're curious whether it fits your skin, that's exactly what a consultation is for.

Meet Erin, the newest face at Hush Beauty & Skin πŸ’œ

I'm so excited to officially welcome Erin to the team as our new General Manager here in Emerald.

She comes to us with 10 years in the beauty and skin industry, including five years managing a skin clinic. She genuinely understands both the clinical side and the business side, which is honestly rare to find in one person.

Erin will be leading things here at Emerald, working closely alongside me, and I'll be personally training her in HIFU so she can grow into one of our go-to experts on that treatment.

For me, this is about the next stage of Hush. I've learned over the years that growth isn't about doing everything yourself; it's about finding great people, giving them real responsibility, and growing together. I think Erin is going to be a huge part of where we go next.

Welcome to the team, Erin. There's a lot ahead, and I'm excited to have you beside me.

There are a few changes coming to Hush over the next few months, and I wanted to talk about them properly rather than have you find out through a caption or a booking confirmation looking different one day.

I'm bringing Erin on as General Manager here in Emerald. She's got ten years in this industry, five of those managing a skin clinic, and she understands both the clinical and business sides in a way that's going to make a real difference to how things run day-to-day. She'll be the one making sure the little things don't fall through the cracks.

This isn't about becoming a different business. It's about growing into a better version of the one you already know. Same values, same honest approach, just run smoother behind the scenes so you actually feel it when you walk through the door.

There'll be more changes over the coming months, and I'll keep talking you through them as they happen, not after the fact.

Thank you for sticking with us. I don't take it for granted.

Spring SPF reminder 🌿

There's something about this time of year up here. The light changes, the hills go a bit greener, and everyone starts shedding the winter layers a little earlier than they probably should.

But here's the thing about living in the hills: cooler air doesn't mean lower UV. Altitude actually increases UV exposure, and spring is exactly when people get caught out, because it doesn't feel like "sun protection weather" yet.

A couple of myths worth busting while we're here: cloud cover doesn't block UV the way people think (up to 80% still gets through), and the SPF in your makeup almost certainly isn't doing the job on its own.

Honestly, the biggest factor isn't which fancy formula you use. It's whether you're actually applying it daily, and reapplying if you're out for a while. That's the boring bit that actually works.

Swipe through for the full breakdown, and if you're not sure which SPF suits your skin, come chat to us. We've got a few options in-store, and I'd rather help you find one you'll actually wear every day than sell you whatever's on the shelf.

Mesoskinline around the lips πŸ’œ

I get asked about this area a lot. People want their lips to look hydrated, healthy, and natural. So, this is one of the options we talk through when that's the goal.

Honest advice, real results. That's always been the approach here.

It's not about chasing a look; it's about figuring out what will help your skin and being upfront with you about it, either way.

If you've been curious whether this is something worth exploring for you, come have a proper conversation with us about it.

Question I get asked constantly: Is there a gentler option than skin needling? Yes. ✨

It's called nano-needling. A well-perfected technology from Europe, and one of my favourite additions lately, because it's such a gentle entry point for people who want to support their skin without committing to something more intensive. Instead of a traditional needle, it uses a nano-plastic head on the skin's surface, and if an area needs a bit more attention, we can add a needle head for that specific spot. Tailored to what your skin actually needs, not a fixed routine we run on everyone.

Swipe through for the full breakdown.

If you're curious whether it's right for you, that's exactly what a consult is for. No pressure, no upselling, just an honest conversation.

The appointment you keep bumping for everyone else's stuff? This is your nudge 🀍

Nano-needling day at Hush ✨

This one's gentler than people expect, much finer than traditional skin needling, and it's become one of my favourite ways to support skin texture and renewal.

I always want you to know exactly what you're getting into, so let's be clear: this isn't the same as standard skin needling; it's a newer needling technology, and with the option to add a needle head where it's needed, it's become a great alternative to traditional skin needling for sun-damaged or deep-lined skin specifically. It's been used for over 3 million treatments across Europe, and we've now done around 200 of them here at Hush.

What it can do is support smoother, healthier-looking skin over a course of treatments. Results build gradually and vary from person to person, which is exactly why we talk it through properly before booking you in.

Honest advice, real results, as always. If you're wondering whether this fits into your skin routine, that's a conversation worth having with us properly.
