THE ONLINE STORE IS OPEN AGAIN 🎉

I have emerged from my post-CapriCon grotto.

Refreshed? No. Rejuvenated? Also no.

In the last two weeks I smashed out FOUR assignments, had a sick kid home for nearly a week, and typed so much that my wrists and fingers have apparently formed a union and gone on strike.

Naturally, I dealt with this exhaustion by tearing apart my workshop.

Huge chuck-out. I can see my benches. I can WALK PLACES without tripping over, mostly.

There are systems - kinda.

Who the hell am I? I even washed, dried, and folded laundry in one day!

Stocktake is DONE and the online store has been dragged back from the dead.

Is everything in stock?

*snort*

Ahh no…

There’s still plenty of soap curing, and photos being taken. Things will gradually reappear as they’re ready.

The shop is open.
The workshop is functional.
I am technically alive.

CAPRICON IS HERE. 💀

After weeks of making, pouring, printing, cutting, packing, swearing, and questioning several of my life choices… we made it.

The Lady Lather’s apothecary is open at CapriCon today, stocked with all manner of handmade nonsense for the unhinged.

There are skulls. There are soaps. There are Vapours. There are D&D candles. There are Traveller’s Tins. There are things I have almost certainly forgotten I made.

And, judging by this photo, I am handling the situation beautifully.

I know I’m “supposed” to post more often… but social media and I are not on speaking terms most days.

It makes me anxious, it feels performative, and frankly - I’ve done enough performing for one lifetime.

So if I’m quiet on here, it’s not because I’ve disappeared.
I’m just putting my energy into the part I actually enjoy - making things.

The shop is still open with absolute chaos happening behind the scenes.

That said - I have been busy, and there are some very pretty new soaps sitting there looking all gift-worthy and smug about it.

Mother’s Day is coming up, so if you’d like to secure your position as the favourite child… now’s your chance.

The good news - no surgery needed! 🎉
The not-so-good news… I’m on strict orders to take it easy for a while, which means no lifting my 10 kg soap batches (yes, they really do weigh that much 😅). For perspective, that’s a 1kg mould INSIDE my 10kg mould.

So for now, I’ll be focusing on smaller batch designs while my hand finishes healing. My classic square bars will be taking a short break, but they’ll be back once I get the all-clear to dive into full production again.

Thank you all for being patient and supportive while I find creative ways to keep Lady Lather’s bubbling along 🩶

Pro tip: don’t rage clean. Thought I’d just cut myself, then I was convinced it was a broken hand… turns out it’s a tendon. 🤦‍♀️ Shop is on pause while I rest because apparently I’m a hazard to myself. Don’t worry - the soap is fine, it’s just me that’s temporarily broken. Thanks for hanging around while I heal 💀🧼✨

Saturday was my biggest event ever!

And yes, every time someone complimented the booth I did actually ask, “So… worth the mental breakdown?” I wasn’t joking. Pulling this off took everything, Weeks of late nights, burns, tears, and full-blown meltdowns went into that booth, and I’m still so sore I can barely move.

But when I saw your reactions, laughs, and love for my weird spooky apothecary it made every late night worth it.

I’m exhausted, sore, and a little feral, but I’m also so proud of what I created - and so grateful to everyone who came by, chatted, and supported a one-woman business with an obsession for the unusual.
