Katie started beauty and massage therapy in 1990; stepping into what felt like a calling. Fully trained in many different styles of massage she teaches and specialises in abdominal organ massage. As well as using remedial work, aromatherapy, shiatsu, cranio sacral therapy and Thai massage she discovered the wonder of Kahuna bodywork and integrates this with her deep abdominal work. This is Abraham Kawai'i, Kahuna. This is the man who created bodywork using the forearm in a rhythmic forward and back flowing motion called Romi, Kahuna Romi, Kahuna Bodywork, Lomi. He was a Kahuna through his paternal grandmothers lineage, a master professional through innate awareness, grounded in universal principles.
He accessed ancient genetic knowledge through memories activated by chants and legends to bring forth lost Kahuna temple style healing systems, one being bodywork.
He extracted the principles of this healing system from Hawai'ian cultural secrets and presented it to non Hawai'ians as a vehicle to remember who we are, to know ourselves as self responsible beings.
This is not Lomi Lomi, the family style healing system unique to each village, this is temple style Romi originally performed by high class Kahuna in a temple setting to activate dormant DNA extending outwards to the entire family, ultimately to the entire human family.
