In Zenthai Shiatsu we have certain muscles that tend to hold a lot of “jitsu” excess or tension. We call them the TROUBLE MAKERS!
Here’s four of the most common…
Do you suffer holding or tension in any of these?

THE THREE TREASURES 💎💎💎
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Taoist philosophy, the "Three Treasures" (known as San Bao) are the three fundamental energies that sustain human life: Jing (Essence), Qi (Vitality), and Shen (Spirit).
They are considered the foundational pillars of health, existing on a continuum from dense matter (Jing) to ethereal consciousness (Shen).
1. Jing (Essence)
* What it is: The dense, foundational substance of life. It represents your root vitality, longevity, and constitutional reserves.
* TCM View: Stored in the Kidneys, it dictates growth, development, reproduction, and aging.
* Metaphor: It is the wax and wick of a candle.
2. Qi (Vital Energy)
* What it is: The dynamic, animating force that flows through your body. It governs movement, warms the body, protects against illness, and transforms food into energy.
* TCM View: Created and maintained by your lungs (breath) and spleen (nutrition), it circulates through pathways called meridians.
* Metaphor: It is the burning flame and the heat/light radiating from the candle.
3. Shen (Spirit)
* What it is: Your consciousness, mental clarity, emotional harmony, and connection to the divine. It governs your presence and psychological well-being.
* TCM View: Housed in the Heart, a healthy Shen manifests as bright eyes, a peaceful mind, and a joyful demeanor.
* Metaphor: It is the light emitted from the candle, shining outward into the world.
How They Work Together
The Three Treasures are deeply interconnected. When Jing (Essence) is abundant, your body can produce strong Qi (Energy). When your Qi flows smoothly, your Shen (Spirit) remains at peace. Practices like Qigong, Tai Chi, and TCM herbalism focus on balancing and nourishing these three pillars.
