Happy Friday ,Euston- Robinvale!
The last weekend of August is here, and it feels like the weather is slowly starting to warm up again. 🌤️
As we move into the warmer months, it’s a good time to check in with our bodies too — especially those areas that have been feeling tight, tired or uncomfortable after work, sport, exercise or simply everyday life.
One thing I often remind my clients is:
Massage does not have to hurt to be effective.
A tender point may produce pain directly where pressure is applied, while a trigger point may reproduce pain that is felt somewhere else in the body.
Understanding the difference is important.
When we understand anatomy, muscles and the way the body moves, we don't always need to press harder or make someone uncomfortable to achieve a therapeutic result.
For me, being a good massage therapist isn't about trying to “fix” everyone.
It is about continuing to learn, listening carefully, asking the right questions, understanding someone's pain and making sure they feel safe and comfortable throughout the session.
Because good therapy is not only about technique.
It is also about:
🤍 Safety — from the beginning to the end of the session🤍 Listening — without judgement🤍 Confidence — helping people feel comfortable using their body again🤍 Kindness & compassion — because a client is a person, not simply a painful muscle
As therapists, we combine knowledge, hands-on skills, experience and listening to support the person in front of us.
🗒️: We don't need to make someone hurt to prove that we're doing a good job.
Wishing everyone in Euston & Robinvale a beautiful and relaxing weekend. 🌿☀️
Take care of your body as we welcome the warmer days ahead. 💆♀️✨

# # # Listen to Your Body 🌿
You know… I’ve come to believe that the body is a little like an old house.
It tells you when something needs attention.
A door starts making a strange noise.
The pipes make a sound they never made before.
A little crack appears in the wall.
You don’t blame the house.
You stop.
You look.
You listen.
Our bodies are much the same.
Sometimes we feel tired for no obvious reason.
Something aches.
We don’t sleep as well as we used to.
Our mood changes.
Our energy feels different.
And instead of asking,
**“How do I make this feeling go away?”**
Perhaps we should sometimes ask,
**“What is my body trying to tell me?”**
Maybe it is asking for more rest.
Maybe we have been carrying too much.
Maybe our lifestyle needs to change.
Maybe we have ignored ourselves for a little too long.
The body has an incredible way of trying to protect us.
A symptom can be inconvenient, frightening, or uncomfortable — but sometimes it is also a warning bell.
Not every warning means something serious, of course.
And when something is persistent, unusual, or concerning, we should always have it properly checked.
But we should never forget to listen.
Because sometimes the body isn’t betraying us.
**It is trying to keep us safe.**
And perhaps some changes come into our lives not to frighten us…
but to remind us that it is time to slow down,
make a few changes,
and start taking care of ourselves a little better.
After all,
we only get one body to live this life in.
So perhaps we should treat it a little more like a home…
**with patience,
with care,
and with love.** 🤍

Understanding Your Piriformis Muscle 🌿
The piriformis is a small but important muscle deep in the buttock. It helps your hip rotate and supports smooth, comfortable movement of the leg.
When this muscle becomes tight, irritated, or overworked, it may cause pain around the buttock and sometimes discomfort that travels down the leg.
Our muscles work hard for us every day. Sometimes, they simply need a little care, movement, and time to recover. 🤍
Listen to your body. Move gently. Give your muscles the care they deserve.

Standing or walking for extended periods can lead to lower back pain—but it's not always a spinal issue.
Tightness or dysfunction of the Quadratus Lumborum (QL) is a common contributor. However, a thorough assessment should also include the gluteal muscles and erector spinae to determine the underlying cause and guide appropriate treatment.

To anyone who is carrying more than they can say... 🤍
Sometimes, we can handle one difficult thing.
But when everything happens at once—
losing someone you love, heartbreak, financial struggles,a business falling apart, and the pressure of trying to stay strong—it can become more than the heart can carry.
Sometimes...
The strongest people are the ones who are the most exhausted.
Because everyone believes they'll be okay.
- No one sees the tears.
- No one sees the sleepless nights.
- No one sees the quiet battles they fight
just to make it through another day.
People only see them standing.
They never see how much strength it took to get back on their feet.
Today...
“I'm no longer trying to be someone who has never fallen.”
“I'm learning to be someone who can say”
"I have fallen... and I'm slowly finding my way back."
I didn't survive because I was never broken.
I survived because, every time life broke me,
I learned,piece by piece,
how to put my heart back together.
I'm not completely healed.
But something inside me has begun to soften.
And that doesn't mean the pain is gone.
It simply means...
“The pain is no longer driving my life. 🤍”
Note: This reflection was inspired by Quiet Becomes by Joshua Bonsing.
Reading this book reminded me that healing is not about becoming the person we used to be. It is about learning how to continue living, one day at a time.
Thank you, Joshua, for putting feelings into words that many people carry silently. 🤍

🍊 **Looking After Your Health This Winter**
With the weather getting much colder lately, it seems like many people are coming down with colds, coughs, sore throats, and feeling generally run down.
One simple way to support your health is to make sure you're getting enough **Vitamin C**.
Our bodies **can't produce or store Vitamin C**, so we need to get it regularly through fresh foods or supplements. Vitamin C helps support a healthy immune system, assists with collagen production, improves iron absorption, and acts as an antioxidant to help protect our cells.
While Vitamin C isn't a cure for the common cold, getting enough each day can help support your body's natural immune function.
Remember the simple things that make a big difference:
🍊 Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables
💧 Drink enough water
😴 Get plenty of rest
🚶 Stay active, even with a short daily walk
🧥 Keep warm during these colder days
Wishing everyone in our community a healthy, warm, and happy winter. Please take care of yourselves and each other. ❤️

This morning, I sat quietly with my thoughts and realized how far life has taken me.
There have been beautiful days.
There have been difficult days.
Days when I had to start over.
And days when I simply had to sit with myself and make sense of what was happening around me.
When I was younger, whenever something didn't go the way I hoped, I would ask myself,
"Why is this happening to me?"
But as I've grown older, gained more experience, and met people from all walks of life, I've learned to ask a different question.
Instead of asking "Why?"
I ask,
"What is this trying to teach me?"
Because so many times in life, what first appears to be a disappointment eventually reveals itself as a gift.
Sometimes it gives us time to rest.
Sometimes it reminds us to take care of ourselves.
Sometimes it allows us to be fully present for the people who truly need our help.
And sometimes it teaches us that peace of mind is far more valuable than trying to control every outcome.
Over the years, my work has allowed me to meet many people.
I've witnessed smiles, tears, exhaustion, pain, resilience, and countless life stories.
One thing I have learned is this:
Everyone is carrying something.
Some people are carrying stress.
Some are carrying loneliness.
Some are carrying burdens that nobody else can see.
That is why I try to live with kindness whenever I can.
Not because everyone will be kind in return.
But because that is the kind of person I want to be.
I cannot control the choices others make.
But I can choose what kind of heart I carry.
And I choose to keep mine gentle.
I choose to let go of what is too heavy to carry.
I choose gratitude for what remains.
And I choose to wake up each morning and do my best with the day I've been given.
A little like a gardener tending to a garden.
Some days are sunny.
Some days are rainy.
Some days are windy and uncertain.
Yet the gardener continues to care for the flowers.
Because they understand something important:
Flowers do not grow because every day is perfect.
They grow because they are cared for consistently, day after day.
So today, I am grateful.
Grateful for every lesson.
Grateful for every person who has crossed my path.
And grateful for my own heart...
A heart that still chooses kindness, hope, and the simple joys of everyday life. 🌿❤️

🌿 EP 2 – Midland, WA
Midland is a place that reminded me of a colleague I once worked with.
Many years ago, we worked together in Port Douglas. Since then, life has taken us in different directions as we each continued growing along our own paths.
Some moved to different towns. Some changed careers. Some had to start over more than once.
Today, she has built something of her own:
Sabaidee Thai Massage & Spa by Jenny

Jenny Jenny
What I love most is not simply seeing a beautiful new space. It is witnessing someone I once started alongside gradually turn a dream into reality through hard work, courage, and persistence.
Midland may be just another town on the map of Australia, but for me, it is a gentle reminder that:
“Every step we take today may be leading us closer to the life we once dreamed of.” 🌿
Congratulations to Jenny and her beautiful business. Wishing you continued success and happiness on this journey. 💛
Potential clients please note. This is a professional massage business. There are NO extra services, personal services or any sexual activity whatsoever.
Thank you to our valued and respected clients for your continued support.

Town by town : 🌿 EP 1 – Port Douglas, QLD
PATT Massage Patthama Authentic Thai Therapies
https://www.pattmassageportdouglas.com.au/
Some places stay with you long after you've left.
For me, Port Douglas is one of those places.
I was fortunate to work as a massage therapist in this beautiful seaside town, welcoming visitors from around the world.
The pace of life felt slower here, guided by the rhythm of the ocean and the warm tropical breeze.
Port Douglas reminded me that true wellbeing isn't about doing more — it's about slowing down, being present, and allowing yourself time to rest.
many people are slowing down their lives and taking time to reward themselves ☁️❄️
Some are travelling to other towns, some are enjoying a well-deserved winter break.
I just want to take this small space send warmth, care, and appreciation to everyone 🤍
Even if we haven’t met recently, or you haven’t come in for a massage, please know that I still think of you and truly wish you well 😊
