Not every day in clinic goes to plan.

a patient developed a vascular occlusion after lip filler treatment. This is when filler affects blood flow to the skin. It is one of the rarest complications in aesthetics, but also one of the most important to recognise quickly.

We spotted the early signs straight away and started treatment using a well-established dissolving protocol. Over the next week, the patient returned for three dissolving sessions. At each visit, we checked how quickly blood returned to the skin, and we kept going until circulation was fully back to normal.

By the end of the week, the area had fully recovered.

Why share this? Because honesty matters. Any injector who tells you complications never happen is not telling you the whole story. What truly matters is choosing a practitioner who knows the warning signs, has a clear plan, and stays with you every step of the way until you are safe.

If you are considering injectables, ask your practitioner one simple question: “What would you do if something went wrong?

Uneven texture, acne scarring, or skin that’s lost some bounce? PRF microneedling uses your own plasma, separated via centrifuge, alongside microneedling to support your skin’s natural repair process. It’s commonly used to address texture, tone, fine lines and scarring. Downtime and results vary between individuals.

DM us to find out if it’s suitable for you.

Why can weight loss change the face?

As we age, facial changes occur across multiple layers, not just the skin.

We gradually lose collagen and elastin, changes occur within the fat compartments, and there is progressive remodelling of the underlying facial skeleton. Together, these changes can contribute to reduced volume, less definition, skin laxity and deeper folds.

With significant or rapid weight loss, including weight loss associated with GLP-1 medications, some of these changes can become more noticeable. A 2025 imaging study found that patients using GLP-1 medications experienced measurable mid-face volume reduction, with greater weight loss associated with greater superficial facial volume loss. (PubMed)

More recent literature describes changes such as mid-face deflation, hollowing around the temples and eyes, increased laxity and changes in facial contour. (PubMed)

The approach shouldn’t simply be to add volume.

For suitable patients, I often use a combination of strategic volume restoration and collagen-stimulating treatments (biostimulators), with the aim of improving structural support, contour and skin quality while maintaining natural facial proportions.

The goal is not to recreate a younger face, but to restore balance and support while respecting the patient’s individual anatomy.

Individual results vary. Injectable treatments carry risks and are not suitable for everyone. A comprehensive medical and facial assessment is required before treatment. GLP-1 medications should only be used under appropriate medical supervision.

The nose is a small area with important vessels that can sit differently from person to person, and ultrasound lets us see exactly where those structures are before we plan anything.

It gives us a clear picture of what’s happening beneath the surface, so every decision is made with awareness, intention, and a personalised approach.

If you’ve been thinking about nose refinement or just want to understand your own anatomy better, consultations are available and we’re always happy to guide you.

Cellulite treatment | Subcision + Biostimulator

A targeted approach to improve the appearance of cellulite by releasing the fibrous bands responsible for skin dimpling, combined with a biostimulator to support skin quality and firmness.

Depending on the severity and individual anatomy, 1–2 sessions may be recommended.

The goal is not to completely remove all cellulite, but to create a smoother skin surface and improve the appearance of dimpling over time.

Individual results vary. Treatment suitability, risks and expected outcomes will be discussed during your consultation. Results are not guaranteed.

Ultrasound gives us a clear look at the structures beneath the surface of the nose, helping us understand your unique anatomy before planning any nose‑focused work.

It’s a simple step that adds confidence, clarity, and an extra layer of safety to the process.

A lot of people wonder why their BBL or fat transfer results don’t last, and it usually comes down to a few key factors that happen during the healing process.

Reason 1: Delicate cells being handled rough
Fat cells are extremely fragile after transfer. Any pressure, friction, tight clothing, or incorrect post‑op care can damage them. Once those cells are compromised, they simply don’t survive, which means less long‑term volume.

Reason 2: Lack of oxygen
Transferred fat needs oxygen to thrive. If circulation is restricted (often from swelling, compression, or poor healing), those cells don’t receive enough oxygen to stay alive. When they die off, the results naturally fade.

Reason 3: Lifestyle habits
Your daily routine plays a huge role. Weight fluctuations, inconsistent nutrition, smoking, and even stress can impact how well the fat survives. Long‑term habits determine whether the volume stays or slowly disappears.

This is exactly why we offer our Volume + Biostimulator treatment, designed to support structure, enhance shape, and help maintain results over time.
