Mira’s Hand skin care range includes Argan oil, also known as ‘liquid gold’, a rare and precious oil that has become famous world wide for its many benefits. The source of this wonderful oil is the fruit of the Argan tree (Argania Spinosa), which only survives in the isolated South Western regions of Morocco while many attempts to cultivate it elsewhere have not been successful. Arganeraie forests now cover just over 8,000 km² of land and are now designated as a UNESCO Biosphere reserve (1999). Subsequently the area has shrunk by almost 50% over the last 100 years, owing to charcoal making, grazing, and increasingly intensive cultivation.
