Hairdressers love to say highlights are "safer'
Foils trap heat, which speeds up lift Scalp bleach is open air which slows lift.
◦ slower rate of lift is better for the internal structure overall which is we so many of now take the low and slow approach, but please I BEG can we stop saying that highlights are automatically the safer option
This isn't about battle of the services, (we all know I'm loving hiqhlights) but the damage happens because of the bleach itself and 9/10 the damage happens from overlap. Overlap exists in both services whether it's intentional or not.
