Why I won’t be buying “natural” bath bombs this Christmas!

Unfortunately “fragrance” is in everything these days. Do you know anyone who gets headaches from working in or walking past highly scented shops? What’s wrong with fragrance? It’s 99% of the time going to be synthetic! Did you know companies are not required to tell you what exactly the fragrance is when listed as an ingredient? So what’s wrong with synthetic scents? They are made of toxic Phthalates! Beware of greenwashing this Christmas. These are terms used to make you think you’re buying safe and ethical products. The word “Natural” or “fresh” doesn’t mean it’s safe for you and your family. Nor does a pretty picture of a lemon or a tree on the package.

Vaseline (mineral oil) is common in lip balms and moisturisers. It’s not nourishing in any way, it traps bacteria and our bodies can’t process it properly to break it down once in the system (what you put on your skin goes into your bloodstream).
