Behind the chair..
I've been a nurse for over fourteen years. Long before aesthetics, I was caring for people in some of the most demanding areas of healthcare, orthopaedic surgery, then years in oncology as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, walking alongside patients through chemotherapy and their hardest days.
I completed a Master of Clinical Nursing and a Graduate Certificate in Oncology and Haematology, then stepped into hospital leadership as a Clinical Services Manager and in Quality and Infection Control, preparing a private hospital for national accreditation.
Everything I do now is built from that. Aesthetics wasn't a change of direction for me, it was the natural next step, a place to bring more than a decade of clinical depth, judgement and genuine care to a different kind of room. The rigour, standards and passion is the same. The duty to the person in the chair is exactly the same.
That's the difference a true clinical background makes, and it's the foundation Sisä is built on. Considered care from someone who has spent a career earning the right to be trusted with it.
I don't take that lightly, and neither does my team.

Ever wondered what actually causes deep lines and wrinkles?
It comes down to a few things happening at once. Over time your skin produces less collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep it firm and springy, so it becomes thinner and less able to bounce back.
Years of repeated facial movements, like frowning, squinting and smiling, gradually etch lines into the areas that move most.
Sun exposure speeds the whole process up by breaking down collagen faster, which is why so much of how our skin ages comes down to UV over a lifetime.
Add in the natural loss of facial volume and fat as we age, and skin that once sat smooth and supported starts to fold and crease.
The good news is that understanding why lines form is what makes them treatable. There are genuinely effective options depending on what's driving yours, and the right approach is different for everyone.

Sisä Series: Injectable Peptides
We’re starting at the beginning.
🧬 Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as messengers in the body, signalling cells to do things like produce collagen or repair tissue.
The word itself tells you very little, because what matters is which peptide it is and how it enters your body.
💧 The peptides in your skincare are topical and regulated as cosmetics.
💉 Injectable peptides enter your whole system and are regulated as medicines, and most of the ones sold online are unapproved, meaning no one has verified how they are made, whether they are sterile, or what is actually inside the vial.
Our position as a nurse-led clinic is simple: anything going into your body should be prescribed, quality controlled, and administered by a qualified professional who has assessed you first.
