🌟 UPDATE 🌟
From me and Earth Whispers Dreadlocks! 🖤

🩷 HEALTH
I’ve spoken with my specialist team and I’ve been given the okay to slowly start getting back into work. 🙌
That doesn’t mean I’ll be jumping straight back into my old routine though! 😂 I’m going to take things slowly, listen to my body and see how I cope as I ease back into things.

📍 LOCATION
For now, I’ll be based in Albany until the end of October/early November.
After that, I’ll be heading to Perth and basing myself in Rockingham, where I’ll be working from home while I continue to recover. Working from home will put much less stress on my body than constantly being on the road, which is exactly what I need right now. ❤️

🖤 CLIENTS & BOOKINGS
To all my beautiful clients from all over WA — if you’re heading to Perth, please reach out for an appointment.
I’ll only be taking a limited number of appointments each week, so early bookings are welcome and recommended if you’d like to secure a spot.
I’m not going to push myself — if my body says “Nah, not today!” I’m going to listen! 😂

🖤 NEW CLIENTS
New clients are very welcome!
I’m aware that a couple of dreadlock artists in the area have recently left town, so if you’re looking for someone to look after your dreads, I’m happy to help with maintenance and repairs.
For new installs, I’m happy to take on smaller installs. Larger installs may need to be completed over a couple of sessions, depending on the amount of hair and time required. This means I can take care of your dreads properly while also looking after my body. ❤️

📩 Message me via FB or 0424 138 102 to book or enquire.

💵 PAYMENT
Moving forward, Earth Whispers Dreadlocks will be CASH.
Please make sure you’re able to pay by cash at the time of your appointment. ❤️

🚐 DREAD TOURS
As my body continues to recover and I feel ready to travel again, I’ll start looking at bringing the dread tours back.
I’ll start with towns closer to Perth before eventually making my way back up north. I’m not putting dates or destinations in stone just yet — I’ll see how the body behaves first! 😉

I’m really looking forward to getting back to doing what I love and seeing all your beautiful faces — and heads! — again. 🖤

A massive thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding and support through this crazy chapter. ❤️
Slowly but surely… it will be one dread at a time! 🥰🖤

Jane ☺️❤️

Good morning Peeps,

I wanted to post an update, as I’ve recently started receiving messages from people checking in, asking how I’m doing, and enquiring about booking appointments.

Unfortunately, at this stage, my situation hasn’t changed and I am still closed. I’m currently waiting to have an X-ray to assess how things are progressing. Unfortunately, there has been a delay due to some miscommunication between the hospitals regarding my referral.

I’m really hoping that once the X-ray has been completed, I’ll have some more clarity around the corner for me and when I may be able to return.

I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and continued support. It means a lot to me, and I’ll be sure to provide an update as soon as I know more.

Thank you for your understanding❤️

A huge thank you, everyone, for your thoughtful messages, kind words and to everyone who has offered to help, whether you're close by or far away. It truly means the world to me.

You're not just clients to me—you've become so much more than that. After reading all your messages, I honestly feel so loved and supported.
I'm out of hospital now, and with the help of my long-time bestie and my kids, I'm starting to sort out the next part of this mess. I'll be doing my main recovery in Albany with M&D.

To all the clients whose appointments I've had to postpone, thank you so much for your understanding, patience, and support. I appreciate every single one of you more than you know.

Recovery is going to take some time, so for now I'm taking it one day at a time. I'll be back doing what I love as soon as my body lets me. Until then, thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and reminding me that I'm surrounded by such an incredible community. ❤️

I hope to see you all again once I'm back on my feet. 💛

Rest in peace, you good thing!! ❤️

Over the last four years we've travelled thousands of kilometres together.
You gave me the strength to keep on keeping on, a bed to sleep in, and the freedom to build my business while exploring WA. We've shared countless adventures and made memories I'll never forget.
You weren't just a ute....you were my home, my companion, and my safe place. Thank you for the memories we made. You served me well. ❤️

A couple of days ago, you saved my life but lost your wheels. I'll be forever grateful for the travels we had.

As I recover from my injuries, I will be closed for approximately 6–12 weeks, depending on how my recovery progresses goes. I'm alive, I'm breathing and my injury is fixable.

Thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding, and support during this time. Many appointments are postponed and I'll be in contact with future appointments when I'm ok.

🌞✨ What a transformation! ✨🌞
This little legend, just 8 years old, sat like an absolute trooper from start to finish. He already had some partially natural dreads, which gave me the perfect base to create a full dready look.
He loves his curls, so we left the tails to keep that natural style. ❤️
Awesome job today, little man—enjoy your new dreads! 🤘💛

✨ A good tidy up ✨

This install was done by someone else, so there was a bit to work through with these dreads. We tackled loose extensions, unblunted ends, and some root maintenance that needed attention.

There had been quite a bit of change happening in a short period of time, and his dreads were feeling quite solid which made the root work a little more challenging than expected.

Every set of dreads is different — they form differently depending on hair type, methods used, lifestyle, and even the environment. The goal is always to work with what’s there, bring them back into shape, and help them continue their journey.

For now, his dreads just need some time to relax after everything they’ve been through. With patience, care, and time, they will hopefully soften up and settle into a more natural feel as they continue to mature 🌞

A good tidy-up and some love, and he’s back on track ✨

This guy 🫶 bless his cotton socks.

He rang me about 8 weeks ago for maintenance, but I’d just had surgery so I couldn’t do him.

He decided to drive 16 hours (1,600km) to Perth to get them done elsewhere, but didn’t go through with it. Technique is important for this guy.

So he had a bit of a visit in Perth and headed home and wait for me to be back up his way.

These are my “Medusa dreads” — the fattest dreads I work on. A lot of technique goes into these, definitely not your average set.

Maintenance done👌 One very happy client ✨

I was a tad excited, nervous, and everything in between seeing this client again 🫶

I did his install 12 months ago, and this was the first time he’d had maintenance. After his install, I told him to trust the process… and he definitely did.

❤️Fluffy Buddies👌 His dreads had softened, fluffed up, and started taking on their own shape — exactly how dreads are meant to evolve over time. He had a few little snags that needed attention, which I cleaned up, and I added some beads to help flatten out a few lumps as his dreads continue to grow and mature.

This is a great example that dreads don’t necessarily need constant maintenance when the right advice is given and followed. Sometimes giving your dreads time to do their thing is part of the process.

Overall, I’m super stoked with how his dreads have formed, and even more stoked that he trusted the journey and followed the advice. 🙌
